Chapter Ten


Kagome felt someone staring at her causing her to roll over and finally open her eyes. Blue eyes met red ones once more as she gazed across the room. A smile grazed her face when the other girl began laughing. "That was rather painful, I say we kill binky breath."

"I agree, think you could purify a god?"

"Never tried but its worth a shot, I'm game." Kagome tried to sit up, her muscles still sore.

"You mean I don't have to listen to you drool over Shorty anymore." Killany got up and stretched her arms. She looked at the miko that she knew as good as she knew herself. "Where are we?"

"Not sure, wanna break out? Maybe we got arrested because you killed that old woman."

"Hey you helped, you going to hang with me."

"Guess its true, lie down with a dog rise with fleas." Kagome saw her fallen look and snickered. "It's almost like looking at Inuyasha again accept you are a full youkai."

"Yeah just happen to take after my mother more. So wanna get out of here?"

Kagome looked down at her clothing, they were dressed in some type of kimono. "They could have dressed us better."

"Atleast we don't have to run out naked."

"Might be better." Kagome pulled it down in the back. "This thing really rides up. Might have to hike it up just to run."

"Dammit, here." She reached over and tore the material ending it at Kagome's thighs. "That does look better." She did her own, finding it easier to move her legs. "Let's go." The door opened for them and they stepped into a hall.

"This way?" Kagome pointed to the left, so they went right. Their feet took them down a long hall and around a corner. They collided into a blue ogre carrying a stack of paper work.

He screamed when he saw them, "Ahhh, they're escaping call security."

"Fuck," Killany grabbed Kagome by the hand and the raced up a set of long stairs. It led them into a large room with no way out.

"I told you we should have gone left." Kagome could sense a few auras coming towards them. "The mob squad is coming, what do we do?"

"The balcony, lets go." Killany pulled her across the room and pushed open the balcony doors.

"Holy shit, we can't get down from here. I don't think even you can jump that far without killing yourself." Kagome felt woozy looking down at the endless sky. "We are up high." She turned when she felt them enter the room. Two arms wrapped around her waist, she looked to see Killany smiling at her.

"Trust me."

Kagome shrieked when her feet suddenly left the floor and a small cloud appeared at her feet. The balcony became smaller as they flew away, tiny figures could be seen. "I was wondering why we could fly before. This is great, look at their faces."

"So mean Kagome."

"I know but isn't it funny."

"Maybe not," Killany looked around. "We will have to locate the portal."

"Yeah but we are free." Kagome tried to look on the bright side. "What kind of portal are we looking for?"

"There should be one around here, where they bring the souls through."

"Ummm, try that way. There's a lot of soul activity over that way." Kagome pointed to the east. They turned direction and headed that way.


"Think it would be safe to go see my family?" Kagome asked when they landed down in the Makai. She couldn't imagine what they must think happened to her. Being able to go see them would make her feel a lot better.

"I don't think so. That might be the first place they look."

"Yeah I know but I'd really like to see my family. Even if it's just to let my mother know I'm okay."

"Can you put up a shield? We could head there and you could call her." Killany offered. She stood up suddenly, "Those fuckers are relentless." A portal opened up not far from them.

"I think it's because we have the jewel." Kagome sighed. She didn't have a bow so it would be a tough fight. "Too bad we split. Maybe we should just give ourselves up."

"Don't tell me you already like Shorty that much." She picked on her.

"NO, just tired of running." Kagome sat down on the ground and sighed. She smiled when Killany joined her. "This is nice, think they will kill us?"

"No, they had a chance. I'm hungry, what about you?" She layed down on her back, "You're right this is nice. Think we could talk them into letting us share a cell?"

"Doubtful." Kagome saw them step out into the opening. "Binky boy is with them, we could try to purify him now."

"Don't tempt me. I don't think we need another murder charge over our head."

"You might wanna get up, you showing some leg there." Kagome laughed at her red face. Not that she was any better. "I'll miss you." Someone cleared their throat, Koenma was standing by them. Anger filled her, she jumped to her feet. Her hand came out and slapped him hard across the face. "Hey you, you could have killed us you know."

"Way to go Kagome, that's my girl. Next time aim a little lower, better chance of breaking the jaw."

"Thanks, I'll remember that." Kagome wanted to laugh at the look of shock on everyone's face. "Who do you think you are? I should try to purify your ass, think before you do something next time."

"Yes, it was more than obvious to me that having her soul in you was causing you to become violent. I couldn't allow that when you possess the jewel." Koenma looked down at the youkai girl sitting on the floor. The look on her face caused him to take a step back.

"Say that again and you'll be using that binky as a permanent butt plug."

"She did no such thing!" Kagome yelled at him. "That bitch deserved to die and I'd do it myself again if I could. Might not be able to rip her uterus out again but I'd sure the hell would kill her."

His eyes opened wide at the comment, "That was a little too much information, thank you."

"Gross, is that what you threw at me?" Yusuke felt his stomach turn.

"Well, we left her tongue on the floor." This came from Killany, "Would you have prefered that?"

"Oh man, you really ripped her tongue out?" Kuwabara shuddered at the thought.

Kagome glasped her hands behind her back. "Right after we tore the jaw off her face but that was Killany's idea. I get the pointers for the uterus though."

"Told you they were mental."
