Chapter Ten

"Tell me there's something we can do." Yusuke was sitting on the chair next to the bed, holding his head.

"I'm afraid not. Whatever trauma happened was great enough that her soul left her body to escape. She didn't die, so there is nothing I can do. There is no way for me to locate her soul." Koenma looked down at the still girl. "There may be a chance."

"Tell me, I'll do whatever it takes."

"I'm afraid you or I can't do anything." Koenma turned to see Kurama walk into the room. He lifted his brow at the man. He'd been told of his accidently attacking the girl and was very disappointed. As things stood Karasu and Bui were missing again along with the three women. He was sure this next piece of information would cause the fox to feel even more guilty. "In my lifetime I've only known of two people that could call souls. She needs someone to call her soul back to her body."

"Who? Maybe we can ask them for help." Kurama looked down at the prone girl. He knew Koenma was displeased about his earlier actions that morning.

"Well considering the circumstances that might not be so easy. The first was Midoriko herself and the other, the very same girl that now carries her soul. Yes, Kurama the girl you attacked this morning. Not only does she have the ability but so does the other soul that has taken up host in her. I don't think Kagome has ever called anyone's soul but her own. She is the only one capable of calling the lost soul and healing it."

"Kurama find her."

"I'll do what I can Yusuke." He sighed in defeat. Karasu had Kagome and his mother somewhere and none of them could be located.


Kagome felt herself doze off as the man ran with her in his arms. Her arm tightened his neck and she buried her head in his neck. Feeling safe for now she let her eyes close once more. His intake of breath was heard when she moved her hand sliding it over his neck. She could feel his hair near her fingertips and grabbed a strand. "Soft."

He continued to run and entered a forest. Kagome felt the strange tugging begin inside her and started having urges she didn't understand. His neck looked so soft and smooth near her face. She pulled herself up closing the distance between his neck and her mouth. At first she did nothing but placed an open mouth kiss on it, letting her tongue slide over the warm flesh. It seemed to please something deep inside her. His moan was heard but he continued to run.

Kagome wasn't sure what made her do it but she raked her teeth over the sensitive flesh. The act caused her to become excited, so she began to nibble. It wasn't hard enough to break the skin. A growl was heard from his chest and he stopped suddenly. The sound was light, almost like a purr was being emitted. It made the desire inside her grow, she applied more pressure to the skin.

Karasu stopped, trying to gain control of his raging blood. His instincts were trying to take over as she continued to nibble on his neck. Did she realize what she was doing? He felt himself become fully erect and his blood race as she applied more pressure to his neck. The scent of her arousal hung in the air as well. His instincts cried that she knew exactly what she was doing even if she was human. It was one of the ways for a female youkai to let their lover know that she wanted the male to claim her. Did she realize how close she was to becoming his in every sense of the word. She was asking him to take her, to make her his for the rest of her life. It was also stating she wanted to be dominated by him, willing to give him control over her.

His instincts jumped at the knowledge of truely owning her, to own her beauty and her power. He felt her teeth scrape across the flesh once more. His tiny rational side told him he didn't want a mate. Then it argued that he planned on keeping her for a while anyway. He would kill her when the time came anyways. He would take her life with his own hands. The thrill of owning her if only for a short time filled him. He groaned when she began sucking on his neck as she nibbled.

Kagome felt herself being placed on her feet and saw his hands go for his clothes. He looked at her and barked the command, "Take it off." Her hands pulled the shirt over her head and the shorts came next. A blush spread across her cheeks as she stepped out of them. Her common sense told her to run not to stand there and let him have her again. Her body told her to stay, so did something else. A small voice in the back of her soul, told her to give herself to him.

He saw she was undressed already as he finished. He knew she was already wet. He could smell her arousal and it was driving him wild. He didn't protest when she placed her hands on his arms and beckoned him down. She had him sitting on the ground, his legs stretched out. He was curious as to what she was going to do.

Kagome climbed in his lap and looked into his face, what she could see. Her hand reached out, coming to land on the metal. "May I?" His hand came up to take it off, revealing the rest of his face. Her fingers slid over flawless skin, "Beautiful." She pressed herself against his body and came down on him. A moan escaped her as he filled her.

Her eyes came to rest on his mouth as she began to move. Taking the chance she leaned forward, he didn't move and only a breath seperated them. Her lips claimed his, his mouth remained still under hers. Not giving up she ran her tongue over them seeking entrance. As soon as he opened up she slid her tongue inside tasting him. He was unresponsive at first, then his tongue was soon colliding against her. She moaned as he took control of the kiss, it caused her blood to soar. His hips began rocking against hers.

He moved so that his legs were bent under him forcing her to wrap her legs around his waist. His hand was placed on her lower back holding her up while the other gripped her neck keeping her mouth locked on his. His tongue started thrusting into her mouth mocking his length. He finally let go of her mouth, she saw his neck exposed to her once more. She placed her mouth on the tender flesh licking as he drove into her. The tension began to build inside, her teeth grazed over the flesh once more. She could hear the soft growling in his chest once more enticing her to continue. Her teeth nipped at him again drawing a gasp from him.

His hand fisted in her hair snatching her head back and exposing her neck to him. A moan of pleasure was heard as his mouth latched onto her neck. His teeth grazed over it, scratching it, her blood ran out. She felt his hot tongue reach out to lick it, her orgasm hit her. She panted as it took her and moaned when she felt fangs graze her. "Yes."

He lost control at the one word and felt his release hit him. His teeth were buried into her neck, the blood flowed in his mouth. The sweet liquid poured down his throat and he licked the wound. She whimpered as he sucked on it.

A suprised gasp filled him as he felt something latching onto his soul. It was grabbing ahold of it, stroking him. He could feel it taking root already, he swore and threw her away from him. She landed in a thud some feet away.

Kagome felt him throw her and the ground come up to meet her. Fear filled her as she looked at him, his appearance was changing. Anger filled his face as he looked at her. What had she done? For the first time she was terrified of him.
