Sleeping Arrangements

Rin rolled over in bed, wiping the sleep from her eyes. Looking over at the clock, it said 7:12 a.m. She'd slept the whole night it seemed. Her stomach growled reminding her that she hadn't had dinner. She suddenly remembered the attack and sighed. A moan from across the room told her Kagome was still sleeping. Her eyes went to the other bed, Shizuru must already be up. Was she okay? Rin climbed on wobbly legs, the smell of something good drifted into the room.

After making sure she wasn't going to fall on her face, she padded out the room. She could hear talking as she walked the hallway. Her heart soared when she heard Shizuru's voice. They all stopped to look up at her as she entered the room. Shizuru smiled at her. "How you feeling?"

"Hungry," She walked over and sat at the table.

"Maybe you should have put something else on. How do you expect them to eat?" Shizuru eyed the girl.

"Huh," Rin looked down and finally noticed what she was wearing. She usually went to sleep in a tshirt and shorts but she hadn't thought about that she hadn't been the one to dress herself. She was wearing a tshirt that stopped midthigh and that was it. It left most of her legs to view. Not to mention a good part of her thighs when she sat down. "Oops, sorry. Do I really have to get up again?"

"I'll go fetch you something and get Kagome up too." Keiko left the table.

"Stop staring Yurameshi," Kuwabara smacked him in the head. "It isn't polite."

"I wasn't staring at her. Better go smack Hiei, he's the one gawking."

"It only looks like he's staring cause naturally he can't see over the table anyways." Kuwabara laughed.

"What did you say?" Hiei turned an icy glare at him.

Kouga placed his chin in his hands clearly admiring the view. "Damn brat you got some nice thighs on you. Are they as soft as they look?" That recieved him a scolding look from Hiei and an icy one from Shizuru.

Rin decided to mock Shizuru and gave him the finger. He grinned, "Only if you really want to." She flushed under that comment, "Not even in your dreams."

"Oops, how did you know? Have I been calling out your name again?" The salt shaker slammed into the side of his head. "Ouch."
He wasn't sure who threw it but he had a damn good idea. She was sitting there with a very pleased look on her face.

Keiko came back out with a pair of sweats for her, "Turn your head if you aren't female." They all obeyed. Rin quickly slipped into the pants and sat back down.

Kagome came out looking around and spotted Rin. She went and hugged the girl. "Are you okay?"

"Yes."

"Thank goodness. I think Sesshoumaru would skin us all if something were to happen to you." Kagome let her go and made her way over to sit down. The miko silently added the fact that Hiei had looked extremely pissed seeing the girl being attacked. Maybe he had a soft spot for Rin after all.

Yukina fixed Rin's food first, Keiko got up to help her. Rin waited for everyone else to get theirs before starting to eat. Genkai sat at the table pulling up a spare chair. She never sat with them during meals.

"Now that everyone is here. I want to discuss something. I want to change the sleeping arrangements. I will hear no arguements either. They won't change much. First off let me ask you this Rin, who did the youkai attack first?"

"Well, there was the blast. So I'd say both but then he tried to kill Shizuru twice. I think I just got in his way."

"We aren't sure who they are after so this is how its going to be. Yusuke and Keiko will stay in their room. Yukina will move in mine with me. Kagome I would like you to take the living room with one of the guys. Shizuru can stay in the room she's in and one of the men will share it with her. Rin can take Yukina's room also being paired with someone. Kagome I'd suggest you take Kuwabara as you partner since you need the least protection. Kouga and Hiei can decide what room they want or the other way around. Thats between you four but it will be decided by tonight."

"Are you serious?" Shizuru almost felt like running out the temple.

"Yes, I'm very serious. You and Rin need the protection. Yusuke when you have time, I want you to take the third bed out of the room and place it in Yukina's. So everyone will have a place to sleep." Genkai let the subject drop.

Shizuru was sitting on the couch with Rin while Yusuke and Kuwabara took the bed down in order to move it. Some movie about zombies was on. It was already late in the evening and they'd yet to decide who would sleep where. Both girls had their reservations.

Shizuru knew for damn sure she didn't want Kouga bedding in the same room with her. Simply because of the effect her had on her and he snored. Then again Hiei tended to ignore her most of the time. It all came down to whether she wanted her roomy to constantly bug her or pretend she didn't exist.

Rin on the other hand wasn't sure if she was completely over her fear of Kouga enough to allow him to sleep so close to her. Then if Hiei was in the room she doubted she'd get much sleep. She also didn't want to pick the roomy to most convient herself and not think of Shizuru's feelings. Yet it had to be discussed. "So who do you want in the room with you?"

"Neither, Kouga is too loud and Hiei is too quiet."

"Hmmm, think there's a third and fourth option?" Rin smiled.

"I wish." Shizuru leaned her head back on the couch. "Maybe if we wish hard enough, we'll be able to conjure up two more men?"

"Okay," Rin mocked Shizuru. "First what should they look like?"

"Good question. I'd say tall enough without that towering effect."

Rin grinned, "Okay, I can see that. Now hair."

"Long blonde hair, the kind you wanna run your hands through."

"Nice full lips, that way you can stare as he talks."

Shizuru thought hard. "A nicely toned body, nothing too bulky but he's got to have nice abs."

Rin heard the others stop as they walked by. "Oh and a nice tight butt."

"Yeah, will need something to grab."

"Hey do you two mind, thats disgusting Sis." Kuzuma stomped off.

The other three men just looked at them like they lost their minds.

"Thick thighs," Shizuru said. "Have to have thighs."

"Washboard abs?"

"A must. Need something sturdy to run my hands down."

"I got something for you to run your hands down." Kouga leapt on the couch to land beside her. "Wanna see?"

"Hell no, get away from me."

"That's too bad since we will be sharing a room." Kouga crossed his legs. "Since Hiei informed me right after the announcement that he will staying with Rin. So I guess that means you're stuck with me."

"No, I'm not. Give me a few minutes and my dream man will be finished. Besides why does Hiei get to decide?" Shizuru turned to the person in question.

He merely lifted an eyebrow at her.

"Don't wanna share a room with me? I see how it is." She glared at him. "Or do you have some other reason for wanting to stay with Rin?" Take that Hiei.

"Maybe." He turned and walked out the room. Leaving Shizuru with her mouth hanging open. Did he just admit to something?

"If you don't close that I might start getting ideas." Kouga stated. She brought her hand across his face leaving a red welt. They started the name calling then. "You bitch."

"You pervert."

"Uptight wench."

"Man whore."

Rin got up, deciding to follow Hiei. He was in the room they'd both be preoccupying. She got close enough to hear talking.

"So you're going to stay in her with Rin?" Yusuke started laughing. "Something tells me you have another reason besides Shizuru's snoring."

"Hn." Was the reply.

"You like her don't you." It was a statement not a question.

"Yes."

"Hahahahaha, glad to hear it man. I'm sure she is too, might as well come in Rin." Yusuke saw his friend's blush. He watched Rin walk in, blushing also. "Going to put this bed by the wall over here. That way Hiei can take Yukina's by the window."

"That's fine. Will it be done soon? I'm feeling a little tired."

"Yeah nother ten or so."

"Great, I'll just go take a shower." She left the room before she died from embarrassment.
