Disclaimer: I do not own Inuyasha…*begins to sob uncontrollably.*
The girl panted as she raced through the forest, desperately praying to any and every god she could think of. Branches clawed at her skin as if trying to slow her down. Tears streamed down her face as she tried desperately to get away. She turned her head only to see her pursuer grin as he trotted lazily along. He was just toying with her! She gasped as her foot hit a root, throwing off her balance and causing her to tumble forward onto the harsh, unforgiving ground. Before she could even register what had happened, the demon was upon her.
“PLEASE, PLEASE LET ME GO!” She sobbed “PLEASE, I’LL DO ANYTHING, JUST PLEASE DON’T KILL ME!”
“Sorry Yuri,” The cloaked demon replied coolly “but you had your chance.”
“Naraku, no!” She shrieked, but her pleas were ignored.
She screamed as four dagger-like claws tore through her delicate skin. A sharp burning pain throbbed through her entire body. She shuddered as she felt her own blood slither down her back and sides. Yet even in this pitiful state she still tried to escape. She inched her right arm forward only to be rewarded with an unbearable pain angrily starting at her arm and surging through her scorching blood to the rest of her tortured body. For ten long, cruel, agonizing, minutes she struggled before her body finally gave out and went limp.
Suddenly…her pain was lifted
Weather it was a moment or an eternity, Yuri couldn’t tell. She looked about only to find herself in a dark, cramped box. She sat still. Was it just her imagination, or was she floating? Just above her head a light suddenly appeared. It was a tight fit, but she squeezed her body through one of four narrow gaps. When she finally emerged into the light completely she gasped at the sight before her. That was her body, her wound, she had just exited. Surly that didn’t mean… She was actually…dead.
Yuri lingered above her corps for a few phantom heartbeats before slowly drifting towards the heavens. It was no use mourning her premature death after all. At least her pain had ceased, and she could finally be reunited with those who had gone before her. For the first time since she had met that retched creature, Naraku, she was happy, she was free. No longer would she serve as that vile beast’s concubine.
As she drifted upwards a beam of shimmering sunlight encased her soul. And yet it seemed Yuri’s soul was destine for sadness, even after death, for as her tranquil soul drifted upwards it was suddenly snatched out of the air by a cold, clawed hand.
“Tsk, tsk, tsk.” Her evil master chuckled “Don’t think that just because you are dead I no longer need you. In life you fulfilled my carnal needs, and in death you shall fill a different need. You’re lucky; I’ve decided to bring you back.”
‘Bring me back?’ Yuri thought ‘What does that mean, bring me back? Please, someone, help me!’
Thus Yuri was imprisoned once again. The soul is a very delicate thing. It can so easily be tainted with hatred. Yet even the strongest souls are weakened if they linger in the living world longer than is destined. Yuri’s soul was by no means strong, not after years of cruelty. And so it was that her soul began to slowly fade. It is said that if a soul doesn’t retreat to the afterworld it eventually fades into nothing and in time it is forgotten. That is the sad fate of wandering souls, to vanish, left without even a memory for others in the living world to dwell on.
And so it was, Yuri’s soul was encased in a small dome shaped barrier. She watched in horror as her captor called over one of his vassals.
“Kanna, show me the girl by the name of Rin.”
Without uttering a word Kanna complied. A vision of beauty appeared on her small mirror, instantly capturing the evil half-demon’s attention. He smirked as he turned away from the mirror; this was going to be easier than he ever dreamed. His spies had informed him that the great Lord of the Western and Southern lands had fallen madly in love with this pitiful human girl. What better opportunity to get rid of his two biggest threats? How delightful, his two enemies were going to destroy one another.
A truly formidable warrior is not only strong, but intelligent, constantly observing others and finding their weaknesses. Naraku was by no means a fool. He had learned from observing the world around him, and one of the things he found particularly interesting was animating a lifeless clay doll with a soul. He had never seen such a thing before Kikyo, and ever since then he had been experimenting with it.
Naraku had mastered the art of shaping and animating clay dolls. Making a doll in the likeness of Rin was no great feat for the crafty hanyou. However, having something merely look like Rin wasn’t going to cut it if he was trying to fool a powerful dog demon such as Sesshoumaru…he would have to cover both his and the clay doll’s stench, but he would deal with that later.
After three days of shaping and perfecting, the doll was ready. Before him lay an exact replica of the human, Rin. There was no denying that she was beautiful. It was then that Naraku decided Rin’s fate as well. Since his sex slave was dead, it was only fair that Rin fill her place. It was Yuri after all who was going to make the ultimate sacrifice and complete his little…project. A lot of use she would be in a hard clay body. It was Rin’s soft touch that he lusted after.
“Yuri.” Naraku chuckled “Are you ready to come back?”
With that he snatched the weakened soul out of the barrier. Yuri struggled as she was carried into the next room. She froze when she saw what he had been working on. Was that a body? What did he intend to do with her exactly? Because she was a soul she felt no pain, she had no body and thus no nerves to cause such a trivial thing…yet when one is brought back to life, they are going to feel it.
Yuri found that being brought back to life was like dying in reverse. A sharp intense pain filled all of her senses, but it slowly died to a dull throbbing that seemed reluctant to leave. Dry. Everything about her was dry. Her lips were almost painfully chapped, and was that her skin flaking off? No moisture was to be found anywhere about her person, even her mouth was as dry as a bone. And yet through all of this she still managed to utter one phrase.
“Help me.”
‘Perfect’ thought Naraku after hearing Yuri choke out her quaint little phrase. ‘That line shall serve my purpose well.’
Naraku sniffed the air, only to curl his lip back in disgust. This place reeked of clay and sweat. He would have to fix that. No worry, he had a little trick that would work perfectly, he would just need a bit of brute strength to get the right ingredients.
“Kanna, Kagura, come here.” He hissed
“What do you want?” Spat Kagura with just as much hatred.
“Kanna, show me Rin once again.”
For a split second the mirror began to glow before revealing Rin and her companions.
“Just as I suspected, she is in the company of Inuyasha. Kagura, I need you to take as many demons as you can to Rin’s hideout, use Kanna to help you locate her if you must, but once there I need you to get me one of Rin’s hairs, harm as many as you like just so long as neither Rin nor Inuyasha die.”
“Fine.” Snapped Kagura snatching one of the feathers out of her hair as she headed towards the door.
“Oh and Kagura” Naraku chided “I shall be expecting you back here in the proper amount of time, no detours do you understand?”
Kagura merely glared at her master before herding Kanna out the door to retrieve the other demons. She hated that bastard. One day she would be free of his tyranny, and when that day came she would start her life anew as mistress of the wind.

Two weeks had passed since the last new moon and the twins had come quite a way in their training. Both turned out to be natural swordsmen, wielding their swords gracefully after only a few short lessons from Sango and Inuyasha. In fact, it was during one of these lessons that Kaori and Yasuo got another unexpected lesson.
‘Do you sense that?’ Yasuo thought
‘Yeah, what is it?’ Kaori answered.
‘I’m not sure.’
‘Should we say something?’
‘I don’t-‘
“Inuyasha, Sango!” Kaori called “Do you sense that?”
Both demon and slayer had frozen. They too had noticed the approaching demonic aura. It was huge, only one thing could have caused such an aura…Naraku.
“Get inside!” Inuyasha demanded.
“NO!” Kaori screamed stubbornly “We’ll never learn to defend ourselves if you won’t let us slay even one demon!”
“We’ll start out smaller.” Sango tried to reason “There are too many, you and your brother need to find Kagome and the others and get them inside!”
‘Come on, we’ll get Kagome, but we’ll come back when they aren’t looking.’ Promised Yasuo
‘Fine.’ Kaori responded sounding particularly similar to her uncle.
With that the twins darted towards the hut to inform the others. Meanwhile Sango and Inuyasha stood prepared for battle, their weapons poised. The sky darkened and was soon covered with the foulest of demons. These were the weakest of demons, driven merely by the need to kill. They were no better than wild animals. Their slobbering jaws hung open as they looked at their next potential meal. These creatures were too stupid to be afraid, they were perfect for Naraku.
Yet in the midst of all the half-witted demons three sat perched upon a giant floating feather.
“So then, you understand what you have to do?” Questioned Kagura.
“Of course Mi’lady.” The weasel demon replied. “Just one hair from the pretty little human girl, Rin, Smells of lilacs.”
With that the weasel shifted his form into a beetle and disappeared into the crowed skies.
“KAORI, YASUO, WAIT COME BACK!” Rin screamed as she watched her children slip out into the battlefield.
But it was too late; the twins were determined to fight with the others. Both drew their swords as they rushed headlong into the swarm. They stood back to back as they slashed at demons left and right, clawing and punching when necessary. Demons squealed in pain as they fell before the vicious duo. Inuyasha smiled approvingly as he watched from a distance. He knew they would come back to fight; they were his relatives after all.
Within a matter of minutes the Weasel demon was back on the feather a single black hair clutched in his fist. He handed it over to Kagura who inspected it for a brief moment before tucking it into her kimono. When she was finally satisfied that it was indeed the right hair she smiled approvingly at the weasel before her.
“You did well, how can I repay you?”
“A jewel shard was what we agreed on.” The weasel reminded her as he rubbed his hands together greedily.
“Oh was it? Well, I hate to tell you this, but Naraku has no shards to spare for a weakling such as yourself.”
With that she grabbed the beast by the scruff of the neck and threw him off her feather as if he was a piece of trash. With her mission complete she sped off into the cool night air. Meanwhile back on the battlefield, Miroku was busy slashing at every weak demon that approached him. After a few minutes he grew tired of the steady stream and decided to take care of things.
“Everyone get back!” He cried “I’m going to use my windtunnel.”
As soon as he was sure that everyone was safely tucked away behind him he removed his prayer beads, and in but a moment every demon had vanished. Kaori and Yasuo stared at the monk with new found respect; they never knew why he wore a glove over his right hand, not until now that is.
***
“Here” Kagura said roughly as she handed the hair over to her master. “Why did you want that anyway? It seems like an awful lot of work for just one hair.”
“You shall see in due time, Kagura.” Naraku responded, and with that he disappeared into his chambers.
With this hair he could finally complete his plan, with this hair; he could defeat not only Sesshoumaru, but Inuyasha as well. He chuckled as he set to work once again. Into a small wooden bowl he placed the hair, for scent, some flower petals, for texture, and some virgin’s blood, for color. For hours he worked until finally he had created what he had set out to create. In his had he held a tiny red flower. He cackled as he stared down at the ominous flower.
***
Blots of energy snapped about Lord Sesshoumaru’s body as he forced himself through the barrier. Nothing was going to stop him, nothing. He had caught her scent around mid-morning and thus far it was only getting stronger. At last he had found her. He ignored the stabs of pain that began at his calves and sliced their way up. It would be worth it to see his Rin again.
When he finally forced himself through the barrier entirely he was shocked to find himself in the luxurious courtyard of a mansion. Her scent, it saturated this place. She was here. He followed a dusty road towards the large structure before him. Violently red flowers dotted the sides of the road, swaying gently in the breeze. At the end of the pathway a man sat with his feet dangling over the edge of the porch, staring contently at the demon before him. He appeared to be a normal man, not unattractive, yet he wasn’t devastatingly handsome either. He wore his short dark hair in a high ponytail, a style quite popular for human males his age. In fact, only two things made this ‘man’ stand out.
Fear, it couldn’t be found anywhere on this man. Normal humans would be panicked if a demon lord had forced his way through a supposedly impenetrable force. Yet not even a hint of fear could be found. Which brought about his second abnormality, he was completely devoid of a scent. Again Sesshoumaru inhaled, and again he was denied a scent. Only Rin invaded his sensitive nose.
“Where is she?” The fearsome lord snarled.
“Ah, you must be speaking of the girl, Rin.” The young man answered.
“Where is she?” Sesshoumaru repeated, emphasizing each word.
“I’m sorry but she’s in no condition to see anyone, physically or mentally.”
“What do you mean?” Sesshoumaru roared terror evident about his features.
“We found her a short while ago bloodied in the forest. We didn’t believe she would live, but we took her in so that she could die in peace. We were shocked when she regained consciousness. She’s getting better every day, but her wounds are by no means healed. She eventually told my wife what happened…she was raped by a half-demon by the name of Inuyasha. She sought out the demon after years of travel and begged him to take her to her master, a powerful lord by the name of Sesshoumaru. Inuyasha tricked the poor girl into thinking he would reunite the two. Instead he took her deep into the woods and forced himself upon her. When he had finished he slashed her wrists and left her to die a slow death.”
Suddenly the screen door behind the man slid back to reveal an emaciated Rin. She looked at Sesshoumaru pleadingly before collapsing onto the ground. He rushed forward and placed a hand on her cheek, only to find it cold and lifeless. He searched franticly for a pulse, but before he could locate one, she spoke.
“Help me”
Yuri was internally begging for death as she looked upon the sad demon above her, it was clear now, she had been forced into this body to hurt this mysterious demon. However, over the weeks her soul had lost it’s strength, and now she wanted to be freed above all else.
“Help me” she repeated. But it was too late. Slowly her soul faded into the air and Yuri was no more.
Sesshoumaru howled in rage as he cradled what he believed to be his dead lover in his arms. Tears fell unashamedly as he rocked her back and forth. He had finally found her, but he was too late. Inuyasha! He would pay, he would suffer for this, Sesshoumaru would be sure of that! Red seeped into his eyes as rage swept over him.
“I’m so sorry.” The man sympathized.
Yet his words went unnoticed by the raging demon. Without a word he gently scooped up his lover and laid her gently on a futon in the room she had just emerged from. Then he sped off into the woods, whispering only one word as he left.
“Inuyasha.”
When the demon lord had vanished the man began to laugh. Slowly he transformed back into the vile creature known as Naraku. He picked one of the flowers, holding it gently in his hand before crushing it, as he did so the rest of the flowers wilted, and with their death the scent of Rin faded, and was replaced with the stench of Naraku.
Well this chapter is a product of my evil little mind in Chemistry…and Algebra 2…but that’s it, I swear! No, seriously…if you had these two teachers you would either kill yourself or write to distract yourself from the insane boringness of it all! Oh! But there is a hot German guy next to me in Algebra! Yum! Er ist sehr heiss! I’m sorry it took so long to update, I’ve been overloaded lately!
I don’t know if any of you have read the book Battle Royale, but I highly recommend it! I had to laugh because one of the characters is named Kaori and she goes psychotic! Well…at first I laughed…then I cried; because some crazy girl shared the same name as my perfect little creation! Anywho, if you have not read it, please do so…it is horribly violent just to warn you all…but it is very good!
My Sexy Readers!
New Fan- Yeah, I thought it was about time to focus more on the twins, get to know them a bit better, see how their little minds work, all that jazz!
Altari- Hahaha I hope that this chapter filled your Sesshoumaru needs…actually I started this chapter with the Sesshoumaru scene and it was going to be an entire chapter about everyone’s favorite fluff ball…buuuut I decided that maybe some background stuff would be useful, so I added the whole Yuri thing…good times. Anywho, I love being able to drive…FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDOM!
Ren- *sniff sniff* Thank you, it’s so hard holding off on the caffeine…I never realized how completely addicted I am! Don’t worry, I’m sure you did fine on your permit test thingie…I didn’t even read the book…uh…did I say that? I mean, of course I read the book, that’s what mummy thinks anyway! Happy late birthday! I hope it was a happy one. *Offers cake*. I know this is really weak, but I am so sorry, really I am. And as weird as this is, it was nice to get to know more about you, even if it was as sad as that! I’ll write you an e-mail as soon as my crappy e-mail starts to work again! *hug* Everyone needs a hug! *hug*
Frimm-I KNOW! I HATE IT WHEN PEOPLE HAVE SANGO AND MIROKU HAVING SEX AFTER ONE FREAKING KISS! Sango is not a slut! *angry mumbles*. Heehee Sorry to keep you waiting for so long! I hope this makes you feel better!
Animegirl007-Haha! That review cracked me up! I know what you mean…the only reason I even decided to do New Fan’s challenge was because I was lured in by the title…talented authors. I don’t view myself as a talented author by any means, but when someone sticks something like that out there…hell you just gotta do it!
Dimepieceleo- glad you enjoyed it! Sorry it took so long to update, I hope this filled your Sesshy needs!
Hiro-Ah well…as long as it’s plastic right? But if I were you, I would use a spork or a tampon…I’m sorry, I just really want to have someone kill me with a tampon one day! How did Aleke die? Someone shoved a tampon down her throat!
Lady_Hoshi-I’m sorry it took so long! I promise to update sooner!
Sphinx-Hehehe…read and find out, they’ll get together…I promise!
Chew-Sorry! I know this chapter took forever! Anywho, I hope to get one in at least once a week! I hope this is enough to satisfy your Sesshoumaru deprived life for now!
Vanessa- I am so excited! YAY! If only my e-mail wasn’t BROKEN! LKJDFKDHGDNKHSDFDSFLKJSDFLIERSJ! *ahem* sorry ‘bout that! I’m sure they look amazing!
Ren(2)-No worries, I’m not slacking off…(shifty eyes)
Frimm(2)- Sorry to disappoint you with the lack of update!
Frimm(3)-This was the funniest thing I think I have ever read, I’m not kidding, I posted it on my website! Oh my! *laughs continually*
Ren(3)-I will e-mail you just as soon as my E-mail starts working again, I promise!
Hiro-YOU JUST WROTE AN ENTIRE THING IN SPANISH! THAT WAS AMAZING! Hahaha…stupid old lady!
Robyn-I’m glad you like this story! Please keep reading!
Frimm-Ok…to answer all of this schtuff! 1) Yeah, this is my first fan fiction, and it’s also the first time I’ve ever written anything particularly naughty! So half way through the chapter I was like ‘hey, wouldn’t it be funny if he actually hated her?’ and then I was too lazy to go back and change it…and then like 9 chapters later I’m like crap, that was really bad writing! 2) Ok, from what I got out of the challenge, everything is exactly the same except for what’s going on with Sesshoumaru and Rin. From what I got it was supposed to be like the whole little Rin thing never happened and she was just born a servant and brought up in the castle…at least that’s how I interpreted it! 3) Ignoring…because you told me to…not because I’m a bitch or anything! 4) Yeah…That was just stupid on my part…but just pretend kay? 5) I LOVE THAT BOLOGNA SONG! It’s so damn catchy…I sing it with my friends too! Oh Oscar Mayer…WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO ME? And I have no idea about your name…give me some more time to think about it.
And remember….
READING IS SEXY!

As soon as he was sure that everyone was safely tucked away behind him he removed his prayer beads, and in but a moment every demon had vanished. Kaori and Yasuo stared at the monk with new found respect; they never knew why he wore a glove over his right hand, not until now that is.
