"I would" another very familiar voice says

Chapter 10: Unexpected Ally

The group turns toward the voice. "Sesshomaru" Inuyasha growls

"A full-blood" Kronos smirks as he draws his swords "Something for me to sharpen my swords on"

"This Sesshomaru is no fool," he says as he pulls out Tokijin

"I assure you Sesshomaru, you stand no chance against me"

Suddenly Tetsusaiga drops in between the two. "Sorry, Kronos, but fighting with my half-brother is my department" "

Kronos?" Sesshomaru growled and sniffed the air "Half-breed? What kind of demon though? Never smelt your type before"

"I'm half time demon"

"Time demons are extinct"

"I guess I'm the last then"

"Naraku kidnapped and tried to kill Rin, I'd like revenge"

"Who is Rin?"

"Sesshomaru keeps a human around for some reason" Inuyasha says

"You willingly keep a human around?" Kronos asks

"So?" Sesshomaru asks

"I see" Kronos says as he puts away his swords. "If you're willing to keep a human charge, and care enough to kill for her. Then you can't be all bad"

"Whatever" Sesshomaru growls as he puts away Tokijin

"This Naraku character must be strong," Kronos says

"Very" Inuyasha says

"He seems to get stronger everyday," Kagome says

"I've come to offer my assistance" Sesshomaru growls "As much as I hate to admit it Naraku is just too powerful for me to take out alone"

"Then you won't mind if I take him out?" Kronos asks

"You'll never take him out alone," Inuyasha says "How about we fight together?"

"That may just work" Miroku says

"We should get more help," Sango says

"Who else could we get to help?" Miroku asks

"Koga" Inuyasha says

"You're actually suggesting teaming up with Koga, Inuyasha?" Kagome asks

"Yeah, don't have to worry about him claiming you as his woman anymore" Inuyasha says

Sesshomaru sniffs the air and looks to them "I see, Inuyasha you've taken the young priestess as your mate"

"Yes, I have" "Let's go find this Koga then," Kronos says

"Yes, I wish to get this fight over with" Sesshomaru says "Jaken, Rin!"

"Yes, Lord Sesshomaru?" Jaken says coming out of the nearby woods "I need you two to keep safe," Sesshomaru says

"They can go to Kaede's hut" Kagome says, "Shippo is there right now"

"I'll take them" Inuyasha says "And I'll explain to Kaede what's going on"

"Let me take them" Kagome says, "Can I use Kilala?"

"Of course" Sango says

"Come on you two" Kagome says and Jaken and Rin get on Kilala. Kagome takes Jaken and Rin to Kaede, a little later she comes back alone, with her bag. Inuyasha grabs her off Kilala and takes her bag.

"If we go now we can reach Koga's tribe by nightfall" Inuyasha says

"I've never thought I'd see the day you wanted to meet Koga" Kagome says

"I want to rub the fact your my mate in his face" Inuyasha says as they head off.
