CHAPTER TEN—MARY’S EVIL SECRET—
{the next day}
maru and seth slept clear into the afternoon. There came a knock on the door and mary’s voice came through it “you two better wake up in two minutes or I’m coming in there and dragging you out of bed. When maru heard this she got up and got dressed. She covered seth with a blanket before mary burst through the door. “It’s already 12:30 PM get out of bed “ shouted mary. An object flew through the air and hit mary in the head. “Shut up some people are trying to sleep” said seth. She turned to him giving him an evil look “ you, brother, better get out of bed if you know what’s good for ya”. While this was going on maru was half asleep trying to find her sword. Then she heard something that made her wake right up.”if I had a spare set of clothes I would have put them on already wouldn’t I?”he said this pointing to his tattered remains of clothing “by the way what are you ding here any way?”said maru. Maru turned and waited for mary’s reply.
She threw seth some new clothes she pulled out of the basket she carried. It was full of raspberries. she ignored maru’s qeustion “at least someone saved there clothing” she said pointing to maru who was very perplexed at the moment.” honey do you know where my sword is?” maru asked seth. “Yeah, I put it in the closet over there” he said as he pointed to the closet in the corner.”we have a closet?” she said to her self . She went to the closet and found what she was looking for.”thanks hon” she said in her usual cute tone. She picked it up and went over to mary”you might wanna leave so seth can get dressed”said maru, mary left and seth got dressed.”wonder what that was about?” asked seth. “ I don’t know .but it creeps me out”said maru “she acts just like an angry wife “. “yeah kinda creepy” replied seth. They both left there house and went down for lunch.
“ you guys need to be a little quieter at nights some people are trying to sleep” said sesshoumaru. “You herd us!” said maru in shock she turned bright red. “Who couldn’t?” said inuyasha. “SIT!!” screamed kagome, at about this time rin hit sesshoumaru over the head with a frying pan. They both said in unison “you need to be more considerate to others feelings”. Both rin and kagome walked off and kagome said” you can cook your own lunch”. Seth and maru were bright red and stopped hugging each other. Sesshoumaru held his bump on the back of his head “sorry!”. inuyasha on the other hand “what do I need to say sorry about”. SIT, SIT, SIT !!!!!!” screamed kagome from the bushes. It all but killed him when he hit the ground. “Maru, seth you can come and eat whith us” said rin”and fluffy honey thank you for apologizing”. They sat down and started to cook some fish and rice for lunch. An hour later inuyasha got up and moaned in agony “alright , I’m sorry I didn’t consider your feelings”. Kagome gave him a smile of gratitude.” that wasn’t so hard, now was it bro.?”said sesshoumaru. “ shut ....” he was about to finish his remark when he caught a glimps of kagome’s glare. He smiled “your right” he said “it wasn’t”.
“dad” said maru giving him a big evil glare “you are an inconsiderate jerk”. They both, maru and seth, got up and left. Maru went to go take a bath in the hot springs, while Seth on the other hand went down to the market to buy a new set of knife sharpeners. There he found a lovely piece of mein tin the shape of a butterfly. It was gold and silver with bronze tipped wings. He bought it and decided to give it to maru on valentines day. This is a day that kagome had told them all about. A day were you would exchange gifts of love and cuddle with the ones you love be it family, friends, or lovers. He wrapped it up in a beautiful emerald silk scarf and tucked it into his pocket. After buying what he needed he went back to the house to hid his new treasure. He couldn’t find a place so he went to inuyasha and kagome and asked them to hide it until later this week.(yes people it’s valentines YAY!!).
Maru was relaxing in the water when she herd a sound coming from behind her. “Who’s there?” she said aloud. Mary came out of the bushes with a sword in hand. “You wont escape me like you did that demon”said mary. “ what!!!It was you who sent that demon after me?”said maru “but why?”. “I was supposed to be the one he loves not you” said mary in a very evil tone of voice” I’ve. Been watching him from the bushes admiring him loving him and you took him away from me!. ” who? Seth! But he’s your brother” said maru trying to rationalize the situation.” I don’t care he will be mine once I get rid of you” siad mary. “Not if we have anything to say about it”. Maru and mary turned around to see the whole group there with jakken standing in disapproval. “Jakken told me everything” said sesshoumaru.”but why jakken I was like a daughter to you?” said mary now in shock.” no matter who my friends or family are I tell my master every thing, right lord sesshoumaru?”. “that’s right jakken thank you. And for your reward you are no longer my servant but my equal” Said sesshoumaru .
” no matter I’ll still kill her” interupted mary as she lifted maru’s body and placed a sword on her throat. Seth didn’t even wait for her to slide it across maru’s jugular as his knife flew into mary’s palm making her drop the sword in agony. Maru escaped her grasp.”you are not my sister or anyone who I would love” said seth. kagome drew her bow.” “your a demon of evil and you need to be judged” she let her arrow fly. The arrow hit mary’s chest and turned a bright pink color.” you have failed the test now you shall die” said kagome. chanchanted a spell and the arrow burst into a brilliant light engulfing mary in it’s radius.(if youre confused pink means guilty and white means not guilty. It’s a knew power I gave her)mary’s body disappeared into the blast and died. they had too much hatred in there hearts to cry over such an evil demon. after rewarding jakken, jakken went back home to live in piece.
