Up and about

It was a little past lunch when Auko got her clothes. The style was similar, but it had been done in royal blue with a large sakura flower that would go over her heart when worn. A vine wove across the stomach with thorns and leaves, starting at the flower. Auko thought it was quite beautiful, but she still preferred her old clothing better.

Auko got out of the bed. She removed her bed robe and slipped into the white pants. She tied the short belt a little loosely because of her injuries. Taking the royal blue skirt like piece, she pulled it over her head, all the way down to her waist until it fit securely on her hips. It was a perfect fit—around her hips and in the length that stopped just before her feet. Auko then put on the white under shirt that looked like a tanktop. It left a couple inches of uncovered skin between the flimsy shirt and her pants. Last she slipped into her shirt with the wide strips and neck collar that was up. She buttoned the shirt, except for the top to, letting it fold over.

Auko made one last check in the full-length body mirror in the room. She rubbed her bare arms up to her shoulders. Glancing at the table next to the mirror, she pick up the brush and pulled it through her hair. Once done, she pulled it back into a loose ponytail with a strip of cloth. Last, she went to the sink and washed out her mouth.

Auko left the room, only to remind herself she had no clue around the palace. It didn’t matter, she wanted to look around anyways. Slowly, she made her way through hallways and corridors.

After circling around each place two or three times and getting complicated directions from several servants, Auko found herself in the North garden. She was admiring the many diverse colors and shapes when she sensed a presence behind her. To her relief, it was only Sesshomaru.

“I assume the clothing is to your liking,” Sesshomaru said aloud.

“Yes, very much. I appreciate it,” replied Auko. He walked up right next to her so that he was standing on her left.

“I think I will leave tomorrow. I have already out grown my stay here,” she told him.

He looked at her surprised. She was not even fully healed yet and she was planning on leaving? “Nonsense. You are not even fully healed. If you staying her had been a nusence I would have gotten rid of you already. In fact, I wouldn’t have brought you here at all.” Sesshomaru heard her snicker at his remark, but he did not know what was so funny.

“Yeah, you probably would have. And to think I was almost thinking you weren’t everything you were made up to be.”

“I thought you hadn’t really heard of me?”

“Well…” He saw her look to the ground and kick, a small smile playin hen her lips. She had lied to him; as to why, he didn’t know.

“…I didn’t know EVERYthing about you.” She hadn’t looked at him when he didn’t remark.

Sesshomaru found a little amusement in her behavior.
