final love

She ran for her life. Her sides were burning with pain from her wounds but she didn’t care, all she had to do was to get away from the danger. The sun had set down long ago, covering the forest in darkness.
She couldn’t take it anymore. Exhausted after hours of fighting and escaping, she let herself lay down at the base of a tree.
Her wounds started to hurt more, and she tried to patch them up, knowing that it really didn’t do much for her. Lying there unarmed and barely conscious, she would be killed in a moment or two.
Hearing the trees rustle, she knew that he had found her and that he would complete the task he had started.

She gave up, closing her eyes she relaxed and waited for him to finish her off. To end her pain and suffering, to free her of the world that no longer wished her to live. She no longer cared for her life, she didn’t even want to fight for it, she just surrendered to death as she wished for it to end quickly and painless.
Hearing the wolf demon coming closer, she slowly started to loose her grip on the surrounding world, having lost so much blood from her injury’s, she could only hear something that sounded as an fierce fight between two animals. Feeling herself being lifted up and carried away, she gathered her last strength and opened her eyes to look into a pair of amber colored eyes. After that, everything went black.

Looking down on the girl, a human girl, he did not regret his decision to save her from the attacking wolf demon. He lifted up the unconscious girl and started to make his way home.

Woken up by the shining sun, Sango turned around in the futon and tried to return to the land of dreams.
Wait, futon, shining sun, alive?
Opening her eyes slowly, she started to take in her surrounding environment. Sitting up she saw that she was in big futon with silk sheets and, that she herself was in a silk nightgown. In the room there was a table and a large mirror in the corner of the room.
Getting out of bed, she discovered that all her wounds were taken care of. Suddenly the door opened, and a red haired female fox demon came in, carrying a kimono. “You are finally awake my lady, my name is Maemi, and I will be your personal servant during your stay here. I have some clothes here that the young lady picked out for you to wear.”

Being very confused, Sango decided to get dressed and then straighten things out. After having dressed, Sango asked Maemi how it was that she was still alive.
“The lord saved you and brought you here, he also tended your wounds, and he wishes to meet you during breakfast. Please come this way my lady.”
“Where am I Maemi, and who is your lord?” Sango asked Maemi.
“You are in the castle of the westerns lands, and I am quite sure you know the lord himself a bit.” Sango stopped in her tracks, she sure knew who the lord of the western lands were, Sesshu-maru. He had joined the shard hunters in the meaning of destroying Naraku. After the victory, which had not been if he hadn’t made the last attack to kill Naraku, Sesshou-maru had left the group after giving her a quick kiss that none of the others knew of. She suddenly came aware that he had seen her more or less nude when tending to her wounds.

“My lady, is something wrong” Maemi asked Sango. “Uh…About my wounds, and how they were treated. Did he…” Sango couldn’t find the right words but continued to walk.
“You are not to worry my lady, the lord did not do or see anything that he should not without your permission. I was there and helped the lord” Maemi said.
Feeling calmer when she heard that, she was more relaxed. Sesshou-maru had apparently a great sense of honor and was not the type to take advantage of an unconscious female.

When reaching the dining hall, Sango saw Sesshu-maru sitting at a table with a young girl that looked like she was about 17 years, Sango recognized her as Rin, Sesshou-maru’s protégé. She had grown a lot since she had seen her the last time they met.
Back then when they had agreed to ally, she had almost made Sesshou-maru deaf with her begging him to make her a demon. He had finally given in and had poured some of his blood into a small wound he cut on her, making it blend with hers so she transformed and became a true member of the demon society, with all the following powers. She turned into a cat demon because of how her soul was formed, not by what kind of demon that gave her the mark.
Sango had the idea of also asking him but assumed that he just would look down on her as a person that was too weak in the heart. She was also a demon slayer, it was to go against all of what her family and profession stood for if she was to become a demon.

Sitting down at the table, which was filled with food, she heard Sesshou-maru starting to talk to her. “Good morning demon slayer, I hope you have recovered from your injuries. I think you have some questions that you seek answer to. Is that right?” Sango nodded. “Yes, I have some questions. First, why am I here and why did you save from the wolf demon?” Sesshou-maru looked at her for some moment. Telling Rin that she could go outside and play together with Maemi, he answered her.
“It is simple, you were the one that convinced my brother, and your friends to let me in your group when you were on your way to take down Naraku, so why would I not return that favor? I am wondering why you were all alone in the forest, unarmed and chased by a lowly wolf demon?” Sango looked down at the table and really felt uncomfortable with the question directed towards her.
Gathering her courage she finally answered. “I have not been in contact with the others for over three years, I left them for reasons of my own. I more or less just go town to town and offer my services. And to your question about me all alone in the forest, I was hired to take out a wolf demon that was terrorizing a village, I hunted him but he tricked, and disarmed me. The rest you know, since it was you who saved me.” She said to Sesshou-maru.
Sesshou-maru sat silently and took in her words, as a question inside him screamed for an answer.
“Why did you leave the rest of friends, I find it hard to believe that you just left them for a life on the road, earning low money for demon extermination. I think I am entitled to the right to know to know it since I saved you.”

After swallowing some rice, Sango started to explain the reason she left all behind her.
“After we defeated Naraku, the monk had asked me to become his wife.
I wanted to have a child for a long time, so I said yes, since I figured that no other man would want me because of my profession as a slayer, or the many scars that cover my body. It is not the most attractive tributes a man would want in a woman.

Some time before the wedding, I found the monk in the arms of another woman when I went to his house.
It was not that he had betrayed me, but it was that he seemed to not even care to explain it or even stop screwing the woman even.
I let my anger take over me and I…” Sango was starting to feel ill in her stomach. “And you did what” Asked Sesshou-maru calmly.
“I broke his back, making him paralyzed from the stomach and down” She said to a highly surprised Sesshou-maru, he thought that the slayer he knew, wouldn’t go so far in an act of anger and rage. Apparently he was wrong. He felt sorry for her and for, and he almost wanted to hug her and tell that everything was going to be all right. But he didn’t.
“After that I had attacked him, I also let my rage go out on the woman he had bedded, I beat her almost to death. When your brother and his mate, the miko, had seen what I had done, they made it so that I was banned from the village, even my cat demon seemed to have turned her back against me.
So I walked away, and since then I haven’t met any of them.”

Sesshou-maru regretted his eagerness in wanting to know of what had happened to her. He hadn’t wanted it to be so painful for her, but now he had almost made the woman in front of him cry by his questions. “I see that this was very hard for you to tell, and I wish for that you do not tell me anything more that will make you think back at any unpleasantness.”
“It’s the past Sesshou-maru, I did some things, and I have to take responsibility for them. I hope that I am not of a burden for you now.”
Sesshou-maru thought for a moment, and then an idea came to his mind. He didn’t want her to leave the castle now that she was awake, he didn’t even want her to leave his presence. To prevent that from happening, he would make her feel that she was wanted and needed here. “I have an offer for you demon slayer. If you want to, I would very much like you to stay here, and train Rin in the arts of demon extermination. I have taught her the basics in martial art and the use of her demonic powers, but I would like her to have the techniques of the demon slayers taught for her as well. I would also that you teach my servant Maemi in martial arts as well.
Will you stay here and train them? It would make them very happy”

What Sesshou-maru did not tell her, was that he also wanted her close to himself, he just felt…happy and warm inside whenever she was around him. Sango was stunned over Sesshou-maru’s offer to her, without second thoughts, she happily said yes to him. “I would very much like to teach them martial arts.”
“Then it’s settled, you will have the room next to Rin and Maemi’s room.” With those words said, Sesshou-maru excused himself, and left the dining room, leaving Sango to finish her meal.
After she had finished her meal, Maemi showed Sango to her new room. Unlike the other few demons that were around Sesshou-maru’s castle, Maemi was hanyou, which Sango thought was odd, since Sesshou-maru seemed to despise his hanyou brother. But to she decided not to ask.

Over the time, Sango and Maemi became very good friends, almost never seen without the other one. They always also had Rin with them. The trio of girls were almost as sisters, and they did their adventures together, sometimes playing pranks that were considered not of the right acting of the age of the ladies. But Sesshou-maru did not complain, since the three girls seemed happier when doing things together, no matter what they did. Restricting them would also most surely lead to retaliation acts, that would make the castle fall apart and make him endure things, that would make him lose face in front of the staff.

Watching Rin and Maemi improving their martial art skills over the months with the help of Sango, Sesshou-maru had started to feel more and more attracted towards Sango. He had dreams about her, dreams that he would rather die before letting someone find out about it.

Looking at her from the back of the dojo were she, Rin and Maemi was training, he could not stop himself from staring at Sango when she wasn’t facing him. He couldn’t stop staring at her beautiful curves, her lean muscles flexing as she moved around with her entire body in a very entrancing dance of death.
His eyes were especially fixated on her bottom and her breast, which her combat suit clung tightly and followed her every move.
How he longed to be the one holding her tight, to have her writhing in intense sexual bliss under him, above him, before him.
How he wanted her to scream his name in her greatest throes of passion. She would make a perfect mate, even for a human, she was stronger than any he had ever encountered. She would bring him healthy and strong heirs.

She would fill the missing void he was feeling. And if he were lucky, she would want to become a demon, and spend a longer life with him. A life not restrained by the human lifespan.
Sesshou-maru continued to look at the woman of his desires and dream on high up in the sky.

Suddenly aware that she was being the center of attention, Sango flipped around and looked back at the staring audience. Suppressing a giggle when she saw that Sesshou-maru immediately looked away to the wall, she felt a tingling sensation in her stomach, which she couldn’t really describe. Telling the other girls that the training session was over, she slowly walked towards the embarrassed demon while swaying her hips in a way that could only be described as very erotic and teasing.
“Did you see anything you like?” she said in whisper as she passed Sesshou-maru.
Doing nothing but just sitting there as hit by lightning, Sesshou-maru finally exited the dojo after a couple of minutes.

During the night, Sesshou-maru couldn’t sleep because of his constant thoughts of Sango, how he would make her a woman in every way he knew, how he wanted to share his life with her.
If he only could make her understand what she meant to him, what she did to him.
Deciding that a long patrol around his lands would clear his head, he got dressed and was about to leave the castle when his sensitive nose caught a scent that made him almost trip over by excitement and arousal.
A scent told him it was time for him to make his move.
Following it to its source, he started walking to the indoor hot spring, where he discovered what was emanating the incredible scent.
