Bleeding Love
Kagome let out a sigh as she looked into the depths of the well, she had just returned home-for the final time.
There would be no more going back into the past, but as they say 'everything happens for a reason' and this was just one of those things.
A week earlier her heart had been breaking- but she had stayed there for that week to recover her physical wounds from the final battle, so her mother wouldn't worry, but her heart was as of now- completely broken.
She didn't regret anything that had happened, as long as he was happy with his choice, she would be happy too.
If it was meant to happen it would have, with a shake of her head she turned away from the well and started towards the entrance.
Once reaching it she slid the doors open and smiled softly as her home came into view, with new hope she started towards her house.
Reaching the door she opened it slowly, as she sat her pack down next to the door and took off her shoes she heard her mother's voice in the living room.
With a smile she started off in the direction to tell her mother she was now home to stay, but she stopped at the sound of the voice of the one that was talking to.
No, it couldn't be him really She thought as hope started bubbling in her heart. With a deep breath taken in she stepped into the room and froze, It's really him..its..
Her thoughts were cut short as her mother spoke.
“Kagome honey! Your home- come sit with us”
Kagome nodded numbly as she sat down next to her mother and looked at the man sitting across from them in awe and excitement.
The man laughed, “Well its nice to see you too dear! After all this time you just sit there and stare? I'm hurt”
Kagome rolled her eyes at him, time certainly hasn't changed him- but then again She thought Why would it? He has all the time in the world.
With a big smile she jumped at the man, and snuggled into his chest.
The man laughed once more, “See now thats how a daughter should treat her father”
Kagome shook her head and slapped her father's chest. “So I take it your mother explained it...the truth about me?” He asked.
Kagome nodded, “Yes, it explained a lot, about you- and me”
Her father ruffled her hair, before starting to talk to her mother once more. As her father and mother talked Kagome thought back on everything, her past- when she would spend time with her father, when he left and also when her mother told her what her father truly was.
**Long Flashback**
A small four year old Kagome looked up at her father as he poured her some of the delicious red juice that he always gave her. When a thought came to mind, “Daddy, why does mommy not give me this juice?” Her father smiled at her, “Thats easy- this is special juice that only daddy can get”
She nodded, “But its super yummy I want to have it more.”
Her father laughed, “But if you had more you'd be sick of it” He stated before sitting down next to her and drinking his juice too.
That is what had always happened for all of her life, her daddy would come and get her once every two months and take her camping while her mommy and her mommy's husband would take care of her new brother.
She always knew that she had a different daddy then her brother did, or that her mommy's husband wasn't her daddy.
Because for one, she had blue eyes. While the rest of her family(minus her daddy ) had brown eyes. What the four year old couldn't figure out was- why did her daddy have Gold eyes and she had blue?
She had asked it before, but her daddy said his 'natural' eye color was blue, though she didn't get why his natural color was blue but his current color was gold she took the answer.

6 Years later( making Kagome Ten)

Kagome looked up from her cup, and towards her father.
She always enjoyed spending time with him, but for some reason today he was acting like a scared rabbit.
“Dad?” She questioned, mentally rolling her eyes at him as he jumped- see- scared rabbit.
“Yes honey?” He asked, his golden eyes looking around the kitchen.
With a sigh she reached over the table taking his hands in hers, “Dad” She started again, her voice stern. “What's bothering you?”
He sighed too, “You always figure me out” He said, ignoring his daughters mumblings of 'Well you make it easy' He continued.
“I-I'm leaving, for awhile”
This got Kagome 's heart to jump into her throat, of fear mostly, Shaking her head she answered, “What- no- you can't, I don't want to loose you too!”
It took a second before her father was up and sitting next to her, holding her in his arms. He knew why she was acting like this- her other dad, or her mom's husband had just died recently in a tragic accident.
“I'm not leaving you forever Kagome, I will be coming back I promise”
Kagome sniffled, “When? And where are you going anyways?” She questioned.
Her father sighed, “I don't know when I will be back, it could be from two weeks to more then two years. But I will be coming back, and I have business to deal with in Italy I'll be leaving tonight.”
Kagome didn't say anything back, she just snuggled deeper into her father's chest and clothing. Taking in his scent to remember him by.

5 ½ years later ( a few times after she had been to the past and back)
* * *
Kagome let out a sigh of relief as she put her backpack down onto the kitchen floor.
“Mama I'm home!” She yelled.
Soon after her mother came into the room and hugged her, “Oh yes honey- you got a package from your father”
Kagome smiled at that, she had been getting packages from him every once in awhile, usually around the same time he had her for the weekend.
She let out a yip of joy as she saw the contents in the box, pulling it out she poured it into a glass.
With a sigh, she sat down on one of the chairs and took a gulp of the drink.
“I was starting to crave this, I really need to get the recipe”
Her mother looked anxious as she took a seat across from her, “About that Kagome we need to talk- about your father and you.”
Kagome rose a brow at her mother but nodded for her to continue.
Kagome's mother took a deep breath before beginning, “As you know, your father and I meet before I was even married to Souta's dad. Since Souta's dad and I's marriage was an arranged one , your father and I decided to have one last night together- which lead to you being born.
I'm really glad that Souta's father had agreed that we wouldn't tell anyone that you weren't his child but also allow your father visitation rights. Anyways, I know you had always wondered why your father had gold eyes now, when he use to have blue eyes like yours. Also, why he would be the only one to give you that juice.”
Looking at her daughter she made she sure she was following before continuing.
“This also has to do with why I wasn't really afraid of the fact you would be traveling with demons, nor why demons actually existed – its because your father opened the world for me, he isn't exactly human”
Kagome looked at her mother for a moment before questioning, “What do you mean he isn't 'exactly' human?”
her mother sighed, “He is a...vampire. Which makes you half and half”
Kagome was no longer looking at her mother but instead her juice, “ that answers a lot of things, but why don't I have all of those 'super' senses, or for that matter why don't I crave humans blood.”
Kagome's mother sighed before answering, “That bracelet you have one suppress' your extra senses, which helps control your craving to blood. Also, your father has kept you on the same diet he is, of strictly animal blood.”
Kagome chewed on her bottom lip before answering, “Well I guess that makes sense, but why didn't he tell me before?”
“He didn't want you to hate him, or think he was a monster” she replied, before leaving the room.

Kagome was pulled from her memories with a poke to her ribs, she turned her head to glare at her father.
He shrugged, “I was trying to get your attention for forty minutes”
She heard her mother laugh, “You always did make time seem longer, Landon. It was only a minute.
Landon Pouted before turning back towards Kagome, “Do you need to hear what I said before again?”
Kagome nodded, With a sigh Landon repeated what he said previously, “I want you to come with me-to the United states.”
Kagome hummed as she thought about it, looking over at her mom she asked, “Is this okay with you?”
Kagome's mother nodded “it's fine I think you will do better away from the shrine for now anyways”
Kagome looked shocked, “Wait, how did you know about that?”
Her mother laughed, “I could tell- go ahead and go with your father just make sure to write”
Kagome nodded and looked at her father, “Okay I'll come”
Landon smirked, “Thats great” He replied while standing “Cause our flight leaves in two hours come on lets go!”
Two hours later Kagome found herself on a plane next to her very jittery father,
She chuckled as she lifted up the covering to window, “Scared of flight dad”
Landon glared at his daughter, “I'm not scared I just don't like them is all”
Kagome rolled her eyes, “Of course, Of course” She replied before turning her attention towards what was outside the window.

Meanwhile With Emmett/ The Cullens
* * *
Emmett sighed as he looked to the seat that was now occupied by his brother's girlfriend. It use to be his wife's seat, he thought with frown. He didn't blame Rose for leaving, he knew it was going to happen soon. But that didn't stop the pain in his once hollow heart.
“Emmett” He looked up towards his blond brother, Jasper, before mentally wincing.
“Sorry” He mumbled in reply.
He then felt a small hand on his arm and turned towards his sister, “You don't need to be here Emmett, its understandable-no one would hold it against you if you wanted some alone time for awhile”
Emmett shook his head, “Nah, I don't really want to be alone right now, I'm fine but thanks anyways” He replied quietly.
His siblings knew it was time to drop the subject now, it had come to a shock of all of them when two months ago Emmett and Rosalie had gotten a divorce and Rosalie left to live in Alaska. Emmett had offered to leave, but Rosalie had denied it- saying he was actually closer to the family then she was.
So he stayed while she had left. They had last heard from her two weeks ago, she had already amazingly meet another vampire out there, a male one. Though he tried to hide it, they knew he was hurting.
But they also knew he would be fine- Emmett was strong and just as the family supported Rosalie, they also supported Emmett. Clearing their minds of the matter, they turned back to what they had been doing previously.
Emmett sighed once more as he looked around the cafeteria, lost in thought. He missed Rose, just her being.
He knew they were growing more distant but the fact that she had put herself, her own needs- before Bella's safety really was the last straw for both of them.
He was happy she had found someone, but it still...hurt. With a shake of head he stood as the bell rang and walked quietly past all of the other students ignoring the whispers about him and Rose he didn't want to, nor need to hear what they thought of that matter.

Emmett stretched as he went down the stairs and into the room everyone else was in, School for the most part had been uneventful. Same with coming home, now it was around night time, and he was bored.
He needed to find something to do, maybe he would watch a TV. As he walked into the room he saw his family settled down, Esme and Carlisle were discussing a book on the couch, Alice and Jasper were cuddled together watching TV, Bella and Edward were playing on the piano.
He sighed as he took an available seat, he really hated to admit it, but he was turning into being as angsty as Edward use to be before he meet Bella.
He just barely dodged to book that was thrown to his head, he looked at the direction from where it came to see an almost pouting Edward. “I was never angsty” Edward told him in a low voice.
Emmett laughed, “Right of course not”
The argument would have continued if it had not been for the knock at the door, everyone looked at one another.
“Are we expecting a guest?” Emmett asked.
Alice shrugged her shoulders, “I didn't see anyone, or anything coming”
Carlisle rose, “Well I'll go get it.. Since it would be rude to allow a guest to wait”
Everyone listened in as Carlisle approached the door and heard his gasp,
“Landon?!”
There would be no more going back into the past, but as they say 'everything happens for a reason' and this was just one of those things.
