Surprise! Kagome's a What?
Surprise! Kagome’s a What?
AN: I know that Kagome becoming a youkai is a theme that has been around for a while, and want to thank whoever came up with it, for it is my favorite! I also would like to apologize if any of my work seems familiar to any other story, I don’t remember every fanfiction I’ve ever read, nor have I read them all, if you come across something feel free to notify me so that I might make a change or credit whomever else deserves credit. The battle was over, Naraku was dead, and all was peaceful. Well… Except for the inutaichi:
The tension could be felt in all of the group’s members. Kagome and Inuyasha were in a stare off. With the now complete jewel Inuyasha wanted to make his wish to become a full demon. Kagome had other ideas.
“No Inuyasha, the jewel needs a pure wish.” At this point the anger was coming off of Kagome in waves.
“But one little wish won’t hurt. Now give me the jewel!” Inuyasha was slowly moving into a more aggressive stance. Sango was starting to worry for Kagome’s safety.
“No Inuyasha, one little wish could reek havoc!” With this Kagome turned to leave. And that was her first major mistake. As she turned Inuyasha made his move, he leap for her turned back pinning her to the ground. As Kagome hit the ground she didn’t have time to react or cushion her fall any, and was knocked out by the fall. Taking advantage Inuyasha quickly took the jewel and darted for the forest.
Sango quickly ran to Kagome’s aid.
***With Inuyasha (In Inu’s POV) ***
*The jewel’s mine now! But what to do about my wish. I don’t want to be alone, and Kagome will eventually die…Unless…*
***Back with the rest of the group (Normal POV) ***
Kagome had finally awakened. Though Miroku was not among the waking, due to his “helping” Kagome regain her feet. He is currently passed out with a rater painful looking red handprint on his left cheek.
It was then that Inuyasha chose to make his appearance. “Inuyasha give me back the jewel! You’ll only cause more trouble.” Kagome shouted trying to reason with him.
“No, I’m making my wish.” Inuyasha shouted back. “I wish that Kagome and I were full inuyoukai!” As he said the last words the jewel started to glow. Kagome didn’t even have the time to let out her startled gasp as her world when dark.
**Kagome’s POV**
*What’s going on, where am I?* Kagome thought as she stood slowly, examining the dark space she now occupied.
“You are unconscious Kagome” a soothing voice said. Kagome looked trying to find were the voice came from.
“Who are you? What do you want?” Kagome’s voice trembled as she spoke to the unknown voice. As she did a softly glowing figure appeared out the shadows.
“I am Midoriko, young priestess. Or at least I was. The wish made on the jewel was impure, because of this the jewel will return itself to whence it came. That is within you. Protect it well…” With that Midoriko faded back into the shadows.
**Normal POV**
Kagome had been out for a good twenty minutes, and Sango was starting to worry about the girl. Upon making his wish Inuyasha had disappeared, running off into the forest once again. Kagome suddenly started to writhe in pain crying out as she was engulfed in a strange pink light. The light became blinding before slowly receding after a short while. When the group was finally able to see Kagome again they were shocked by what they saw. No longer was the Kagome they knew and loved, but before them as a beautiful inu demoness! Shippo was distraught!
“Mommy!” He screamed as he ran to Kagome. Upon hearing her name she awoke with a groan.
“Shippo…” She slowly sat up squinting from the suddenly blindingly bright sunlight. She caught her son as he leapt into her arms. “Relax Shippo, I’m alright.” She hugged him to her chest to show him that she was fine. It was then that she realized. The change…
