Half-demon from another time
Chapter One
Johanna is sitting at her computer when her parents come in her room to tell her some very good news. They are sending her to Japan to visit her friend Kagome. She will be leaving the day after tomorrow. Her parents already talked it over with Kagome’s mom and she will in Japan for the whole summer.
Johanna can’t help but be excited. She can’t believe she is finally going to get to see Kagome after two years. Her excitement quickly fades and is replaced by worry. Nobody knows about her power of healing except her immediate family.
“How will Kagome act if I tell her?” she says out loud. Johanna goes downstairs to ask her parents about what to do and finds them in the kitchen. Her dad is sitting at the table reading the paper and her mom is fixing lunch.
Her dad looks up from the paper. “What’s wrong honey?”
“I was wondering how Kagome might act if I tell her about my healing power.” She sits at the table.
“How do you think she will react?” Her mother asks as she turns and leans against the counter.
Johanna thinks it over for a moment. “ I feel that Kagome won’t really care as long as I stay true to myself, but I can’t help thinking about what else she might think.”
Her dad sets down his paper. “If Kagome is really your friend she will accept for who you are.”
“Maybe you’re right. I’ll go start packing. Does Kagome know I’m coming?”
“No.” Her mother smiles at her. “It’s a surprise. So don’t e-mail her and tell her everything okay?”
“Okay. I’ll go pack now that way I won’t forget anything.” Johanna leaves and goes upstairs to pack. ‘I hope you’re right about Kagome, Dad.' It didn't take her lomg to pack because she was so excited. Little did she know that Kagome finding out about her healing powers would be the least of her problems.
