Please note that is story was originally created by PrincessSweetSugar, my younger sister, who is no longer on this site. Her account got deleted because she was underage. She gave me permission to continue on this story. No I am not posting her stories for her as that would be against AFF.net TOS. I found this story of hers intriguing and wanted to continue it. :)

She loved him more than life itself, she would die for him. If he ever left her, she would crumble, shatter into a million little pieces. She would never be able to rebuild herself, no one would. Her heart would be no more; shot through it was she.
Little crystal droplets would forever fall from hazy grey clouds and down creamy colored cheeks. The small salty bits mixing in with the sky water, no one would ever know the difference. Standing over the bridge, she looked down into the clear water; it rippled as the rain poured.
Her blurry reflection staring back at her, her eyes nothing but black pits with no emotion; the once brilliant orbs that twinkled like the stars in the heavens were now black holes that sucked in everything, including light.
Now, she was a broken doll, a destroyed toy a child had played with too many times and much too roughly. No sound came from her parted pink lips as she shivered, her breathing coming out in very slow pants. It smoked; it was cold, another shiver running through her body. But she did not feel the cold or the clothes that stuck to her body as a second skin. She only felt the rain and tears that poured down her cheeks and the mind-numbing pain that beat in her chest.
A warmth wrapped around her shoulders and the hope that it was her love shined in the black abyss of her eyes but her hopes were dashed on the rocks as she turned to only see a petite woman who had wrapped a blanket over her. Her warm chocolate brown eyes showed concern. Her black hair beginning to lay flat against her head as the rain made it heavy.
"Come now Kagome, you will get ill if you stay out here much longer." With a gentle nudging, the woman pulled the younger away from the bridge and pond but not before seeing the younger girl take another glance back at the water. A heavy sigh escaped her throat as they entered a small house.
She helped the younger woman named Kagome slip her wet shoes off at the door before helping her upstairs, away from the worried eyes of a young boy and older man. Ms. Higurashi looked at her daughter as she began to run a warm bath.
Kagome sat on the closed toilet, staring down at nothing. She looked half dead, her body thin and her skin pale, her eyes holding dark circles beneath them from lack of sleep. She could see a slight shiver roll through her body every few moments.
"Kagome," She watched as her head slowly turned to meet her mother's, "Your bath is ready, do you need any help getting in or anything?" Ms. Higurashi saw the slight shake of her daughter’s head and she gently took the now wet blanket from around her. "I will be back in a bit to check on you." Silence was her answer.
The door closed with a click behind her. Kagome sat there, staring at the steaming bath water that awaited her. She stood, like a drone she moved everything slow and calculating as she peeled the heavy wet clothes from her body. Barely breaking the surface, she sunk down; her tense body relaxing in the heat.
Kagome sat quiet for a moment before everything came bursting forth, like a dam breaking. Her quiet sobs making ripples ride across the surface of the water.

Inuyasha stopped himself for a second time. He let his hand drop down back to his side, he wanted to knock and see how she was doing. He had seen her by the bridge in the rain and he had wanted to go to her but if he only came for a visit and then leave again; she would truly die.
So many years they had been always by each other's side. They grew up together; nothing could tear them apart. Unknowingly falling in love, their feelings accidentally spilling forth; Five years they were lovers, and on the night of their 5th year anniversary they decided to consummate their love.
Only two weeks later did Inuyasha break off their relationship and their friendship altogether. It had been over a month and a half at the time Inuyasha is at now, standing on her doorstep.
'Just for a moment,' He thought, but stopped again. 'Kikyou…' He sighed; his present girlfriend will wonder where he has been for almost a half an hour. With another look, Inuyasha turned and left, descending the steps away from the Higurashi Shrine.
