           He always
thought of Kikyo at times like these, Kagome could never
understand.  The then cold hands of a broken clay stature ... unnecessarily
roaming the depths of a lowly Hanyou, touched the side of his face.  class=GramE>Without purpose... without reason or response.  

         "No" He said...
turning his head to her.  "I have to give up."  He
knew exactly what it was... devastation… a tragic disaster, but it had in fact
died long ago.  He just never realized that when Kagome came into his
life there was no need to linger for the loss and love of a dead
woman.  The hands turned to warmth, no longer that of a cold clay
body.  His eyes opened slightly to see a pair of intently glaring
gray eyes.  

       "Inuyasha?"  class=GramE>Her voice barely an echo.  He wrapped his arms
around her petite waist and pulled her closer...

      "I gave up a long time ago Kagome...”  He
whispered.  "All I want is you."  She
complimented his words with a thousand kisses that he longed for... with every
breath he took.
