Captured
SO, this story has been on the boards before, now I am redoing it to include more!
Disclaimer: I, of course, do NOT own Inuyasha. If I did, Kikyo would be dead and Inuyasha would be with me. Please do not sue me for my college loans. Thank you.
The Reason I wrote this story: I was thinking of Inuyasha while studying slavery in my history class. I thought this plot might be fun.
Confirmed Characters: Kagome, Inuyasha *twerks his ears*, Naraku, Sango, Miroku, and more...
Confirmed Pairings: Kagome/Inuyasha, Sango/Miroku...more to be added possibly
ENJOY!! And Please Review, I could be nice and update often!

Chapter 1: Captured
Kagome Higurashi sat on the steps of the shrine staring out into the setting sun. The day had been much too eventful for her tastes. Demons had attacked and she, being the village guardian, had to annihilate them all with her sacred arrows. They were after the jewel shards encased for the world to see around her slender neck. Her long onyx hair blew back with the ominous breeze. Tensions had ceased, but she had to remain alert. True fully, it was quite tiresome. It did not release her tension, not now that the slave trader and infamous demon Naraku was on the loose. He was said to be the most powerful demon ever seen; and Kagome was no fool.
The battle had been rough, killing at least 30 of her mere 100 villagers. They had been buried before the sun set with the burial rights performed by Kagome herself. These times in the feudal era had been quite dismal. Only a few infamous people held power; and they captured and dominated the powerless. Kagome was this village’s last hope, against the two predominant traders: Naraku and Inuyasha. They didn’t work together of course, but they were very well known. Neither had attacked her village yet, but she knew their days were numbered. The earlier attack only reinforced her beliefs. Now most of the villagers were safe in their beds.
She closed her eyes and leaned against the support post of the shrine and slowly fell asleep. The day had completely used up all her miko powers.
“Kagome! Kagome!”
The priestess opened her eyes to see a young girl standing before her, a horrified look on her face.
“What’s wrong?”
“The bushes in the forest are moving!”
No one noticed, but the air suddenly filled with demonic aura.
“Ka-go-me.”
Kagome leapt to her feet, grabbing her bow. The man, or so she guessed, that suddenly stood before her was cloaked in the giant fur of a baboon.
She jumped up, shielding the child behind her, “Who are you??”
The demon chuckled in reply, “My name is Naraku.”
“The attack earlier…that was you, wasn’t it?”
“You fell for it well little miko, now you’re powerless.”
Her eyes widened, and then regained their composure. She grabbed an arrow and pulled it taunt.
“Get out of my village or die!”
Naraku only chucked louder, his laughter sounding eviler than the deepest pits of hell. Kagome shivered involuntarily.
“Leave my people alone or I’ll shoot!”
“Will you now, pure little miko?” Naraku whispered stepping closer to her.
Kagome noticed the demons standing in the shadows, waiting for Naraku’s orders to pounce on and plunder her small village.
“I’m warning you,” Kagome cautioned, fully drawing her sacred arrow.
He took another step and the priestess fired. The demon merely grabbed the arrow between two fingers. Kagome couldn’t hide her look of terror as it dissolved.
“You’ll be mine priestess.”
“Never!”
Naraku chuckled, grabbing chains from his coat.
“Attack, my demons.”
