never free again
In the wind, Kikyo's long black hair whipped her ungracefully in the face as she stood on a hill, surveying the village below. Her old village. Her mahogany eyes narrowed on a certain hut that sat by the temple stairs. A hut that Kikyo had grown up in, had laughed in, had slept and ate in, had confessed her love for a half-demon in. In fact, the half-demon in question was sitting inside it right this very minute. A half-demon named Inuyasha. “Inuyasha.” The dog eared hanyou’s name escaped Kikyo’s lips in a soft whisper. Kikyo had watched her reincarnation ease the wounded hanyou into the hut just about half an hour ago. Stubborn fool, she smiled fondly, he would never learn to quit when the going got too hard. Maybe, that’s why he had survived.
Kikyo turned on her heel and walked away, the thought of her one and only love sitting wounded inside, her reincarnation touching his back just as she used to, almost unbearable. If she didn’t leave the village soon, she would tear into the hut, push her copy aside and jump on him to make sure he was okay. Kikyo sighed and squashed the green monster of jealousy beneath her cold demeanor. He was out of her grasp now.
She had to grudgingly admit, the strange girl had worked miracles on him. Kikyo had only started to crack the fortress around his heart when Naraku tricked them into hating each other. But, kikyo had never really hated Inuyasha, she had already forgiven him, but the wound in her heart at his betrayal was too much too bear. But now….Kikyo sighed and gazed up at the coming stars, she saw the gentleness in the amber eyes, the trust as he gazed on each of his friends. If only she had lived, she would have been the one to bring out those feelings.
She was now alive, in a sense, but Kikyo knew that, no matter how hard she wanted to, she could never be with Inuyasha now. She didn’t belong here; the dead do not belong among the living. But, neither did that girl. She was from a different era, a different time. Her coming here was throwing everything off balance but Kikyo had lost the heart to send her back again. She wouldn’t be able to bear the look that Inuyasha would have in his beautiful eyes if the girl left.
Kikyo would have to just bear it, endure it in her pointless life. She gazed back at the stars wanting to scream at their peaceful beauty. Why did you do this to me? She wanted to cry at the heavens, what did I do to deserve this? She still didn’t have an answer.
sorry guys, this is kind of short^^but the story will be made clear shortly
