SPOILERS

I’ve seen up all of the InuYasha
TV series and all four movies. I also read the manga
translations as well. I have make references to events that happened in the series
in the story. So just be forewarned that there ARE spoilers in the story.

SUMMARY

Rin has grown into a young lady at
the age of fifteen. Sesshoumaru finds himself
attracted to his ward. To fix this problem, he decides to find a human mate for
Rin among his father’s human lords’ families. While
he is inviting suitable candidates to his palace, his cousin class=SpellE>Kisika teaches Rin to be a lady.
But Sesshy is more attached to Rin
than he realizes. A case of mistaken identity leads to a misunderstanding. class=SpellE>Rin winds up engaged to Lord Toushi
while Sesshoumaru leaves, relinquishing any claim he
has on Rin. It seem to be the end, until someone
shows up to get revenge on Rin and class=SpellE>Sesshoumaru has to save her.

HISTORY OF SESSHOUMARU AND HIS RELATIVES

In this fic, Sesshoumaru
is half snake, half dog youkai. This is where he gets
his venom powers. Kisika, a full blooded snake class=SpellE>youkai, is his cousin (daughter of Sesshy’s
mother’s little sister). Kisika sees class=SpellE>Sesshy as an elder brother, and Sesshoumaru
sees her as a little sister. All love between these two is strictly a family
bond, without romance or sex.

In this fic, Sesshoumaru
believes that his father died because of Inuyasha’s
mother. It is hard for demons to have children, so Sesshy
is angry at Inuyasha’s birth because his own mother
was only able to bear Sesshoumaru. class=SpellE>Sesshy hates hanyous because they
are weaker than he is and because a hanyou isn’t
strong enough to survive inheriting the title of Lord of the Western Lands.

In the fic, Sesshoumaru
fears having the same taint in his blood that caused his father to love a
human. He fears being like his father and falling in love with a human.

INUYASHA CHARACTERS

Sesshoumaru (m)–
Lord of the Western Lands, also known as the Taiyoukai
of the Western lands. Half inu (dog), half snake
demon. Wields two swords: Toukijin,
an evil sword that has powers akin to Tesseiga’s, and
Tenseiga, a life-saving sword made out of class=SpellE>Sesshy’s father’s fang and a gift from his father.
His attacks include venom claws and a glowing green whip-like thing.

Rin (f)–
the cute little girl that follows Sesshoumaru around.
We don’t know why she does, and probably never will.

Jaken (m)–
a toad(?) demon that has served Sesshoumaru for
almost a hundred years. He wields a staff of two heads, one of which spits fire.
He was once a leader or prince of his people.

Aunclass=GramE> (m?)– the two headed dragon
creature that Sesshoumaru rides on. More
specifically, head one is Ah and head two is Un, so
the creature together is “ahun.” It is quite fond of class=SpellE>Rin.

ORIGINAL CHARACTERS

Kisikaclass=GramE> (f) – full snake youkai, cousin to class=SpellE>Sesshoumaru. She was childhood playmates with him.

Hisaiclass=GramE> (f) – a moth youkai that serves as class=SpellE>Rin’s maid and a healer. She is also more than she
appears to be.

Lord Tergan (m) – the bad guy

Lord Toushi (m) – class=SpellE>Rin’s one time fiancé and a human lord respected by both class=SpellE>Sesshoumaru and Kisika.

Yugeclass=GramE> (m) – a thug of Tergan’s.

Inukuro (m) – black class=SpellE>inu youkai, Kisika’s
love interest

AUTHOR’S NOTES

So begins my endeavor to finish this fic.
For now, it’s just editing to correct the gibberish that infiltrated when the
site crashed. I’ve pulled out the side lemon “In the Garden” and put it as a
separate story. More to come…
