Part 1

The Deal

Disclaimer:
Inuyasha and all related characters don't belong to me, so shut the hell up!
Cheshire Cat, as you may know, is a Alice in Wonderland character that's proper property of Lewis Carol.

Lime Green is of my own creation so please don't take her without my permission. I'm not just saying that to be nice either, I bobby trapped all my characters with anti-theft devices and only I know how to safely turn them off.

Notes:
The story follows the TV show but I'm keeping the manga name of Kikyo's creatures.
In the show, they're called Soul Stealers.
In the manga, they're called Soul Skimmers.
I like the manga name better.

With that said and done on with the show!

The Deal
Princess Lemon

Nurako raised the long blade sword and made ready to rid his body of the human heart that was his only connection left to Orijumo.

'You're making a mistake,' came a female voice in the back of his head.

Nurako stopped what he was about to do yet kept a firm hold on the sword. Carefully, his eyes scanned the confines of the dark room until he finally saw it. A female figure on the opposite side of the room.

"Kagura, is that you?" Nurako asked coldly, not very happy with his incarnation walking in on him again. The figure smiled and shook her head. "No, it's not," she said and Nurako rose an eye brow as he noticed that her voice was the same voice that he heard in the back of his head just a moment ago. The woman then took this moment to leave the security of the darkness and step out into the vulnerability of the semi-light. As she did so, Nurako kept his eyes glued on her as stood ready for any sudden movements.

Slowly yet surely, the darkness released its hold on the woman. She appeared to be just as tall as Kagura yet her figure wasn't the same as the wind sorcereres', it was more slender. Dressed in a kimono of various shades of green the woman had pale flawless skin, deep green eyes and lime green hair, in which was a hair decoration of a lime with several leaves glued to the plastic comb. In her hands was a ball of green string, which Nurako began to wonder if this was her weapon and if so, how would he use it against him.

"Answer me, who are you and how did you get in here?" Nurako demanded.
"As you wish. I am Lime Green, a cupid..." Lime started but soon noted the confused look on Nurako's face, "I'm a being who brings people together in love." The moment that Nurako heard this, he smirked out of amusement.

"I see," he said and held down his sword, "and I assume you're here to make me fall in love with someone."

"No, I am here to make a deal with you."
"A deal? What would you possibly have that I would want? A piece of the Shikon Jewel perhaps?" Nurako asked with a slight smile at the prospect of adding more shards to his piece of the jewel.

"No, but I can get you Kikyo," Lime said confidently.
"Why would I want her?" Nurako asked with a glare.
"You wanted her once and you want her still. Make this deal with me and I will never bother you again."

"And if I don't?"
"Then I will stay and nag you until you do. And the best part about that is," Lime said and a wicked smile painted itself on her face, "that you're the only one who can see me. So if you try to get rid of me, the others will think you're crazy and question your authority."

Nurako's glare got more venomous the moment Lime said that. "You can't be serious."
"Of course, how do you think I got in here?" she asked. Nurako frowned as came to accept what she told him.

"What is your deal?"
Lime smiled triumphantly, "Hold off removing your heart for the night."
"Why would I want to do that?"
"I said it before, I can get you Kikyo. I want you spend the night with her, alone," Lime said and stressed the last word. "And come the dawn, you will be free to make your decision. To keep the heart, or to be rid of it."

Nurako raised an eyebrow at this proposition. The whole thing sounded preposterous, yet something told him that this "cupid" could do as she said she would. She would get him Kikyo for the night and...

"You have a deal," Nurako said as he flung the sword down and it was partially embedded into the floor with a 'thunk' and a light resonating tone as it wobbled back and forth a little bit. Lime smiled once more and said, "Good," before she held out her ball of string. Nurako watched curiously as the ball of string began to glow a pale green light as the string began to unravel itself.

Kikyo walked through the forest as her Soul Skimmers glided beside her. She had survived the giant soul eating demon and the encounter with Inuyasha. Now, worn down and weary, she made her way back to the village she had raced away from earlier that evening. Though, if it weren't for the light of her soul skimmers, she wouldn't be able to navigate her way so well through the dark forest. It is also because of the light of her Soul Skimmers, that Kikyo noticed that she was in a strange patch of woods that was covered with these thick green vines.

The miko looked around cautiously as she began to sense a strange presence in the wood and before long she found that source of the peculiar aura. She came to a small clearing and happened upon a oak tree. And up in this tree, Lime sat with her ball of string in her lap.

"Kikyo, I was wondering if you were ever going to come," she said.
"Hmm, you were expecting me," Kiyo said with her usual calculating smile.
"Yes, and for you alone Kikyo," Lime said as she stood up and held the string in her left hand.
"Since you know my name, it's only fair for you to tell me yours."
"As you wish. My name is Lime Green," the cupid said and bowed to the miko.
"And why have you waited for me?"
"Because, I have made a deal with Nurako and it requires your presence in his castle," Lime said with a chilling smile.

Kikyo narrowed her eyes at Lime and her Soul Skimmers immediately went into defensive mode to protect their mistress. Lime held up her ball of string and it gave off a green glow. All the vines in the woods gave off the same green glow and bursted apart to reveal that they were in fact green threads from Lime's ball. As quick as lighting, the strings flew through the air and ensnared all of the Soul Skimmers as if they were merely fish in the river.

Kikyo gasped in surprise and quickly turned back to Lime as she reached for her bow and arrows to defend herself. She had a bow but had no arrows; she had used them all up earlier when she fought with Nurako's demon. This left her easy prey to Lime's strings, yet instead of being bound up like her Soul Skimmers the strings quickly wrapped around her like a cocoon.

"Let me out of here!" Kikyo shouted as she pounded her pale fists against the green strings. The miko quickly found that not only were the strings strong but they were also quite sharp, for not only did the walls not give way to the pressure of her pounding fists she knicked her hand on one the strings and hissed as she moved away from the wall. Kikyo then looked down at the thin red line on her right hand. Further investigation of the wound revealed that while her wound was mostly skin deep, the very middle of it was deep enough to draw a then drop of blood. Kikyo cursed under her breath as she licked away the blood and suckled on the wound a little bit as she looked around her confines. She knew she had to get out before she was taken to Nurako's castle...but how?

Yet, as if to answer her question, the strings began to unravel around her. Kikyo bego woo wonder about this. Why was she being let go of so soon? Was this Lime people letting her go? Surely they hadn't arrived at the castle already...but she was wrong. Once all the strings had unraveled and vanished into the shadows, Kikyo found herself to be in Nurako's room.

"Kikyo," came a cold male voice and the miko whirled around.
"Nurako," Kikyo said under her breath with cold narrow eyes when she saw him standing over by the window. As she looked at him, she could see her Soul Skimmers were outside and trying to get in but some barrier prevented them from doing so. Kikyo knew that the same barrier that kept her Soul Skimmers out, would also keep her in.

Kikyo was trapped with the most ruthless demon of the era and there was nothing she could do about it.
