OMG!!!
This has become my ABSOLUTE favorite fic! I just read the entire thing (lol!) and I have to confess something....
I HATE YOU! ^_^ You left off just as it was getting good and you left it with a cliffy!!!

Ideas, you say? Well, you've been plently clever on your own so far, I'm not sure I have any better ideas to give you! But I'll try my best.
So far I think we can all expect the obvious to happen: at some point, Inuyasha is going to run into Sesshoumaru and the Secret Will Come Out. And hopefully, Inuyasha will hookup with Kagome too ^_^ Perhaps Inuyasha asks Kagome to dance in order to get closer to her family (and the "target youkai" sitting at the head table? Then he catches a glimpse of Sesshoumaru and deals with it in, well, a very Inuyasha type confrontation :D) And then Naraku will have to rear his ugly head as well...regardless, I just don't see this ball ending peacefully. The whole event could very well be ruined by the Drama unless things get taken outside. However, if you go ahead and let the cards fall where they may, you could have a very interesting plot on your hands. How will Sesshoumaru react to meeting his brother again? Will he try to flee the situation (and then Rin follows him to ask questions?) Will Rin's parents find out the truth about his social status? t's not like it's that hard--anyone with half a brain would probably figure the collar out, right? Although it could be painful for Rin to have her parents freak out and/or the ball ruined for them, it might help give her something to mull over. Their relationship is going really smoothly, all told, but there's still a lot of issues they need to work through together. Sesshoumaru has not yet told her all of his past, but it looks like the past might be rising up to haunt them...

I just have to say: Wow. This fanfic (and it's companion piece) have got me enthralled. Your writing flows very well, and you give good attention to detail without becoming overwhelmed in trivialities. I cannot wait to see what happens next. I'll admit, I'm a sucker for happy endings and I _really_ hope this fic has one.

ooh I luv this chapter..you did it soo well, I too would have had a hard time with the introductions of Rins parents and Sheeshomaru..You did outstanding!! luv this chap and I soooo cant wait till Inu sees his brother, and Sheesh see Inu, how will they react??? on pins and needles cant wait for you to update really really soon??? :-)

I can't you how much I'm enjoying your story. Normally I don't really enjoy reading au stories but in this case I decided
to give it a try as it was a Sess/Rin story. There are so few Sess/Rin ones out there and yours has to be one of the besr.
I realize that you have a life outside of writing but I do sincerely hope that you update soon. My husband is in the NAVY
and has been gone for 6 months with 3 more to go and good stories like this are keeping me sane at the moment.
In one of the first chapters (can't remember which) Sess had mentioned wanted to make Rin "feel good" with taking her
innocence. Will this happen anytime soon (at all?)? I hope so....whimper, whimper....

Hey. First I would LIKE to say... I'm not completely done with the story just yet, but so far I'm liking it.
I'm a big Sesshomaru fan... He's hot as all hell, and the slave thing kind of offended me... but now being on chapter 8 it seems sexy... Offensive, but sexy.
These words are coming from a poet (I write storihen hen I get a hard ass inspiritation that stays on long enough...). Poetry is something I like to do, and every word you have written is a line of magnificence. I hope you'll greatly succeed in fan-fic writing. Maybe even more.
To detail it in small simple words:
Slave mecanaism is good, but a wee bit shallow for the dog demon Sesshomaru.
