I wish I had two cute little ukes like Inu and kanji. Kanji should be grateful for his punishment; Sess could have done way worse to him for daring to touch his pregnant mate without permission. This was my favourite line from this chapter: "Property waits until it is going to be used."
My favourite part about this story is how you have created Kanji as a foil for Sesshoumaru with poor Inu-chan in the middle. They are almost opposites of each other but Inuyasha can't help being attracted to both.
Kanji, on the one hand, was happy to give up his power and position just to have a chance to be Inuyasha's property. He is willing to be at Inuyasha's beck and call and asks for almost nothing in return except to be touched by Inuyasha. But Inuyasha doesn't care about him at all except to use him.
Sesshoumaru, on the other hand kept Inuyasha on tenterhooks for years,and Inuyasha was happy to be his property, satisfied with being used be him every decade or so, even after everything Sess put him through over the years (threatening to kill him, beating him up...) I like how blatantly and unapologetically power-hungry Sess is and Inuyasha can't help loving him desperately, jumping at the chance to be his mate.
It's an interesting triangle. Sesshoumaru in your story is mostly in character but I think you can do better in writing Inuyasha. Your explanation in your A/N about him being pregnant and drained and weak is perfectly acceptable but even if he isn't as strong an alpha as Sess, it doesn't take physical strength to have principles and integrity. Using cheap manipulations, lying to himself to keep his image of being righteous and virtuous instead of the horny bitch he's always been for Sess (the one we all love) don't seem Inuyasha's style. It makes the character inconsistent, which is worse than being out of character. This latest chapter seemed better than many of the earlier ones in terms of characterisation and Inu's responses. I see a marked improvement in your writing, which is why I say you can do better and introduce more depth into your character of Inuyasha.
I was hoping to read the scene where Sess marks Kanji. I am very interested in what dialogues you would write between Kanji and Sess. Kanji is actually obsessed with Inu so it would be interesting to see how he would react to his rival who was a colleague earlier when he was a Lord. You had mentioned some place that Sess had dealings with Kanji's father. That means Kanji is much much younger than both Sess and Inu, doesn't it? I want to see that clash between Sess's control and experience and Kanji's youth and hot headedness. Maybe you can include it in a future chapter?
Anyway, I am looking forward to your next update, especially the council meeting and how Kanji behaves towards Sesshoumaru after whatever he did to him the night before. I bet he won't be able to keep the images out of his head and be a whimpering puddle of goo so that the council won't have any choice but hand over his power to Sess.

Its sort of sad that sesshomaru us the only one that gets jealous. Inuyasha wants to be with someone and sesshomaru allowing it like that after claiming inuyasha, is still out of character. Still you have tried your best to keep him in character and that's nice. Frankly I'm just dad because inuyasha doesn't seem to be ever jealous. Sesshomaru can't even see himself finding pleasure ruth sometime else but inuyasha can find pleasure with someone else? Does it not seem like sesshomaru loves inuyasha more than inuyasha loves sesshomaru frankly I think inuyasha deserves a reality check. it would be awesome if sesshomaru had sex with with the guy who's after inuyasha. I would like to see how inuyasha reacts to that.
, Also sorry, but their daughter is super annoying. I don't think sesshomaru would spoil his daughter like that or even tolerate her attitude either. Sesshomaru never spoiled rin like that even though he is impressed with power and strength, he us not someone who would like a spoiled daughter.even though he is powerful and rich, he seems so like simple things. His behavior toward his bratty daughter is totally out of character.
I do love your story and I'm definitely not trying to make you feel bad. You have the right to write your story however you want. But these to things really caught my eyes and disappointed me. I thought you were doing a great job characterizing him but those they things feel a little short. His jealousy was a redeeming quality but it also made me feel really sorry for sesshomaru.

I like Kanji...he has all the characteristics of a very entertaining slave. I'm sure Sess, for one, would have a lot of fun playing with his head. I don't like Inuyasha in many places in this story. He's a little too like the stereotypical female, using weak manipulations to get his way and projecting his desires on Sess, complaining he's perverted when he enjoyed all the sex just as much. Isn't he supposed to be a strong alpha? Where's his pride, pandering to Sess's ego like that by lying? And Sess isn't idiotic enough to believe his mate is addicted to his dick. Inuyasha should get his head out of his ass and stop putting all the blame on Sess.
Emily's character is nice but I will be disappointed if you make the new kid (a boy) more powerful than her and make him the heir because he's male. There's enough female bashing in fanfiction, especially yaoi, as it is.
I'm looking forward to reading the next chapter, especially what I assume will be a really hot threeway. It's awesome that he wanted to give up all his power and status just to be with the person he fell for. At least he was straighforward in going after what he wanted instead of trying to appear is strong and manipulating people.

Hehehe Ah that's teenagers for you! So mature yet so immature:-) At least she doesn't ask Inuyasha for expensive purses and to get her nails done! And I bet those pair of red eyes are just kicking himself for not checking the bank statements! He's even more ticked because even though he had suspicions he trusted Inuyasha. Hope, he realizes that its his kid and not one of Inuyasha's female friends! Great stuff!

Ew why would anyone want to mess with that little twit I mean he's just a mess for heaven's sake I've known a few mama's boys who that whiny and clingy and I'm telling you as a female it was just well ewwwwwwww. I know for a fact most gay guys don't care for it either at least not my gay friends actually not very many people like whiny, clingly demanding twits. The more you write him the more I want Sessh to just poison his ass and put the twit out of his misery. I hope you don't write to much of the 3 of them because that's just ewwwww. Anyway I loved the kitchen scene and as always Inuyasha was perfection.

Great chapter, as always. I'm looking forward to reading the next chapter. This moving along really well. Oh and I find that if you think of Kouga as a loud bratty brother. He's always got to be right about everything. He has way too many opinoins about everything, eventhough no one asked him what he thought. But, above all that, he has a good heart and means well. You might want to keep that in mind, when writing Kouga. He's alot like InuYasha. But, where InuYasha had to suffer insecurities, and being alone. Kouga always had a family and tribe to rely on. It adds to his cockiness.

I love how Inuyasha has Sesshoumaru wrapped around his little finger. Sesshoumaru indeed loves his mate and Emily is funny as hell. I am the same way about my clothes getting ruined.

I love this story and get excited every time it's updated.So very sorry for not reviewing earlier laziness I guess. But I have been reading and enjoy this fic very much. Are you going to being any of the old cast back like Shippo or the wolf? Not Kagome I enjoy this well enough without her. I love Emily she is something else and proving to be her father's daughter indeed. I was wondering what happen to Jaken and who did Inuyasha and Sesshomaru started sleeping together. I can't tell you how hard I started laughing about Emily dress. I couldn't read out and often had to start over. I can't wait to read more and see what happens next, should be great fun.
