I just read through AHtO for the first time and I absolutely loved it. You've so realistically developed the characters and their relationships through the 22 chapters you have posted.
Especially Inuyasha and Sesshoumarus, and their reactions to what has happened. I can't wait until you update again and hope that it won't be too long of a wait.

I am very familiar with depression and anxiety. I have battled it for years. Counseling is very helpful as well as finding the right medications to help you through but I have also found that writing is very cathartic and therapeutic. Give yourself some time but I believe that continuing your writing will be a great stress reliever and a balm to your emotions. May you find peace and happiness. You have a great support system in your followers of your stories. I am sure if you need to rant and rave they will be more than happy to listen. Goodness! I for one am sorry that you've been going through such a hard time. I hope that your recovery goes well, and that you'll be able to see your way clearly again. Take care of yourself, and don't worry about finishing your story just yet. You only have 1 you, so that is your main priority! When you do post again, we will all be here!

wow, just wow. i stumbled upon this story and i am so very happy that i did!
i just love your characters and their personal stories, i think you portray the original characters superbly, with the right amount of 'them' and the right amount of oc ness
as for your own characters i love them as much as i do Inuyasha and Seshy. Suzu is just so....so...one of a kind and cheeky, i love him to bits. Fuyuki is so darn cute...i want one. Bishomen is honorable and caring to the max and is a good match to Fuyuki. though i will admit at first i was hoping for some Suzu and his kitty but i am super glad it turned out the way it did. i do wonder who is going to be worthy enough to handle the cheeky bird though and can't wait to find out!. same with Shippo i can't wait to see how he develops and who he chooses.
as for the brothers i love how they are developing and how inuyasha is recovering and slowly accepting everything his brother has to offer. especially his proposal *skwee* >w<

A quicker chapter post? *is in love* :)
Now to dissect the chapter into a long review that may or may not make you question my sanity.
It was both sad and sweet the way Fuyuki stayed like that even though he was in so much pain. It was nice of Bishamon to get him off and then cute when Bishamon said that his punishment was over. Fuyuki was so adorable when he mentioned the other was "unexpectedly perverted" though I have to agree Bishamon didn't seem like the type to be so... well perverted. lol. I love the confessions to each other and the hot scene following it
and then...
Suzu! *glomps* Such a cute little eavesdropping pervert... well sort of since the rooms are soundproof. I still love Suzu. *looks around and steals Suzu away*
*cough cough*
Now Inuyasha's little outburst was amusing and I like the bit of secrecy in with Suzu mouthing words and Inuyasha smiling. It is nice that they are slowly becoming friends as well. It was nice to see more of Inuyasha's caring nature when he asked Suzu questions about going to the event alone. It shows a lot of growing up and maturing that Inuyasha is doing and I think it shows that he is trying more to work past his issues and recognizing a bit more of himself.
I think Saniiro should be killed. That is just me. Or that he should be in trouble and Inuyasha just happen to ignore it. I like that Inuyasha showed even more of his previous self and while I have no wish for him to return to acting like ... what did Sessh call Suzu.. an 'ill-mannered degenerate', I do love the showings of his former attitude.
I think the punishment Sesshomaru said was way too nice. He said that and in my head I was yelling "off with their heads" over and over. I hope the other demon nobility will come around eventually. Rei... very beautifully stated words and thanks to your little scene with Fuyuki... I've imagined you in an equally sexy (or hotter) scene with Suzu. Suzu throwing the glass when Rei's father was insulting Inuyasha was hilarious.
I love Inuyasha telling Kumiko off so much that I re-read the part several times. It was nice to Inuyasha standing up for himself even if he did just rip out her tongue. I'd feel bad for her, but he warned her that he would do it. Even though I am sure Inuyasha still has memories of what had happened to him, the fact that he was able to stand up for himself, assert himself, and then speak with such eloquence afterwards showed a lot of maturity and well I do love Inuyasha getting better and coming to terms with everything.
The hunting trip was amazing. I admit to having the same reaction as Inuyasha to Sesshomaru saying he doesn't love him, but then describing how he feels like that. I mean to me it sounded like he said he loved him but didn't quite say love. However, before that Inuyasha was right to bite him, seriously Sesshomaru could have given him time to think considering everything that Inuyasha has been through and Sessh should've known Inuyasha doesn't think as fast as he does at times.
It was soooooo cute when they finally kissed after Inuyasha accepted. I can't wait to read the next chapter.

awhhhh. this was such a great chapter. Inuyasha ripped out her tongue! Go him and I think that may definitely earn him some respect with the other demons. I really liked the hunting scene and as I've said before I love those animal behaviors you give them that slips so easily into their personalities and makes the story better for it. Awh. Sesshomaru propose too. He can be a real romantic when he wants to be. can't wait for the next update! ^^
