Well now I'm sad I've finally reached the last chapter available... so many more things to be resolved!
I'm even more curious about this new 'new' Inuyasha now...as their last intimacy he seemed to have been a different entity as well? I find this current him really intriguing. There're definitely still hints of his former personality mixed with this new one. Like he's still blunt and a potty mouth and simple, but more assertive. I grinned at how he's instinctively drawn to Sesshomaru and to touch his mark, and seemed like Inuyasha's decided to court(?) him from square one. Sexy! Tho, I also can't wait til he gets his memories back and see his reaction to his newfound powers.
You did such a great job in writing Sesshomaru's inner turmoil in the last couple chapters...I could feel how conflicted, sad, and weary he was in regards to Inuyasha. Sucks that he's the only person who has full knowledge of what transpired between them, and he's just keeping it all inside. Your handle on Sesshomaru's character has been my favorite part of the fic. Despite all the crap thrown at him, you still keep him consistently honorable even when he's at his limits.
I guess that brings me to one little critique. I think Kagome's obnoxiousness might be played up just a notch too much, even if it's intentional. Maybe because you've developed everyone else with such care that Kagome's lack of depth really sticks out, esp after so many chapters. Even Sango, who only has few lines, seemed more believable.
It's been over a year, and I know life gets in the way, but I really hope you find the interest and time to update again soon! Your profile says your stories would get endings after all. Oh my...I was actually waiting til I got to last updated chapter before leaving another review. But after ch35, I must comment.
First of all, commendable job at wrapping up the episode with the North and East lords, so far as even giving the family history between the East with the West. I enjoyed that storytelling was a medium for Sesshomaru and Inuyasha to have a civil conversation. And then everything that led up to Naraku's sudden appearance, Inuyasha's capture, then 'death', then 'rebirth', then the fierce battle with Naraku...everything was super intense! I was absolutely on the edge reading through all that, and then got all giddy excited when Inuyasha appeared in powerful true inuyokai form. It has answered some and yet added further questions to Inuyasha's condition.
Now onto what I really want to praise on XD Ch35! (or 36 in terms of title?) You wrote this chapter with wonderful imagery and details. The 'showdown' between this transformed youkai(?) Inuyasha and injured yet prideful Sesshomaru was too good, too sexy.
Once again per my review previously, thank you for uke Sesshy, and this chapter shows the very reason why I think you should stick through with the dynamic. First of all, good uke!Sess fics are scarce as it is. And secondly, it just spice things up so much. I mean how hot is it for ol' mighty Sesshy to be chased and pursued in such a manner! I was so amused at how he got more than he asked for, despite having fleeting moments of confidence that he could get out of the situation. And since he was actually conscious for most of it (aka not his youkai driving), I'd like to believe he has learned the pleasure of being in such position...hee. And more rectum jokes, right?
On side note, also grateful for the bit when he reminisced on the pain from the cliff, cuz I felt like we didn't really get to know his thoughts on the experience all that much up to that point. I guess my only confusion was how toward the end Sess's youkai reached out for Inuyasha's 'beast' -- If it's already Inuyasha's youkai that's taken over, then what is the 'beast'? Unless it literally just means the most primal part of the youkai...?

Ok I'm several chapters ahead now to warrant another review (ch25-ish). First of all, kudos on fleshing out some of the OCs. Normally I'm on the fence about them in fics, but you really made them interesting - especially with Daigon. There were some really nice, dramatic action scenes! I was pretty creeped out by the bog men part - it had all the right horror elements . I loved all the InuSess moments, as frustrating as some of them were, mostly due to Inuyasha's misguided anger at Sesshomaru. The drunk scene was fun to read, glad to see that Sesshy's moment of vulnerability has allowed them to finally have a reasonable conversation. The wrestling scene was so cute and quite refreshing to see Inuyasha be the one to try bonding, and of course his horny youkai just gotta do its thing :P
There were just a few things that stuck out for me. I thought the idea of bottle wine seemed a little too modern for feudal Japan. Also I kinda feel like Inuyasha bringing up their past over and over again is just a bit repetitive, hence I'm glad to see their relationship is finally getting better from here on (hopefully). These aside, still looking forward to reading the rest!
Hello! Well I'm only halfway through the story right now, but I just wanna shoutout that I really love your fic. I didn't expect the chapters to become so long and detailed toward the middle haha -- it's clear that you've put a lot of love into the story. I love the way you've been developing the Inu brothers' relationship and working out between their own feelings vs what their youkai's want - also their youkai voices are hilarious. Your Sesshomaru sounds so in-character even when trying to mend his relationship with Inuyasha, like he's eloquent and patient but he's still commanding. That scene in the dining hall (the crying scene) was perfect. I just want to hug him whenever his attempt gets batted aside by Inuyasha and he's immediately guilt-ridden :( Also can I just say thank you very much for doing uke Sesshomaru? (well, what I've read to so far, not sure if it changes later) This is just my opinion, but I think keeping that dynamic makes the most sense with your story. Anyways, reading on (slowly tho)!

I made a mistake! I read the story, finished the chapters and it's not done!!! Now I'm chomping at the bit to know what happens! I need to know, does our precious hanyou get his memories? Is Sess gonna get stuck with being the beta, or will he man up and just dominate Inuyasha? I don't know!! Patience is not my virtue.
