I love the 1st chapter! I'm glad that Kagome seems stronger about her differences from Kikyo, and that she can express herself with a great sense of humor. Kikyo is delusionally funny to me with whole "he just doesn't know it" speech. Last Inu Yasha seems like he will be a great guy-I haven't read a Inu/Kag story in a long time because the anime made me a little sour with the Kikyo angst but I love who they are here. They still seem in character but with the added bonuses of things this world has done to each one's personality

The theme is pretty interesting-this is probably unrelated but I wonder what happens with female youkai (I know that has nothing to do with the plot). Somehow I don't see Kagome being to happy with this since she tries to take care of herself, but it should be fun watching InuYasha convince her otherwise.

College life is a good location for this. Thousands of students and a microcosm of society. Well, your fictional society at least. The big world is waiting outside the gates, but there they get to play at being grown up in a relatively safe environment. I'm guessing the gossip won't be kind to them, but the youkai being on the top of the social structure on campus should give some buffer for our fave couple. I'm guessing Kikyo and Kagome don't have miko powers in this?
