I love Sess asking Inu for advice. It is so damn cute. I also think that Sess acted how he wanted to with Inuyasha. I think something in him really wants his brother pretty damn bad and vice versa. It will be interesting though to see how the rest works out and of course Kouga the cuteness is going to do just fine with Rin. He is such a sweet hottie and eventually I can see Rin later in life going uh huh he is such a man.......hehehehehehe
Anyway, great chapter and I look forward to more. I also have to tell you I absolutely adore how Sairex and Miroku act with each other. They are the cutest couple!

I loved the part about Sairex getting caught in the curtains. Sesshoumaru has initiated things between himself and Inuyasha twice which is good that he is trying to open up a little. It may sound crazy, but in a way it was good that he had that "incident" happen because slowly he is showing a different and fun side of himself. From what I have seen so far it is only towards his brother. May not lead to a pairing, but at least for now a more open relationship between them.

I hope that I'm not being pushy when I leave a review. I'm just stating how I feel about the characters and their status so far. Just the way you portrayed Rin is proof that she is not the right one for Sess. He treats her too much like a daughter for him to think other than that. His father he has him on a really high pedestle. Inuyasha is the only one, once he has been relieved of his duties, that can make Sess let his hair down and just be. Inuyasha is a carefee person and with the fact that he has a human side of him that not even Rin ( her being all human) can make Sess lose control. Their father should try to have Sess spend more time with Inuyasha in hopes that he will rub off on him. The two of them might just be together later, but Inuyasha can help Sesshoumaru fight his demons now.

I hope that Sesshoumaru recalls when Kouga did save Rin (in the series) and that they find some semblence of peace. I also hope that they can destroy that new bastard soon.

The one That I Find Most Please-ing Is Touga!!!!

Poor Rin, I hope that she will get over her fear of Kouga. Kouga really is a sweetie pie underneith that tough exterior. I also hope that Sesshoumaru doesn't kill him or his pack.
I also think that Tashio being honest with Sesshoumaru is good, but I also feel like Sesshoumaru also has an attraction for Inuyasha. He seemed very pleased when Inuyasha complimented him and showed him affection.
However, I also think Sesshoumaru is already having a hard enough time dealing with his rape and abuse so I think it will take time for him to heal before he can just jump into a relationship with anyone. I think between Tashio, Rin, Sairex, Miroku, Kouga, and Inuyasha they will get Sesshoumaru back to his old self again.

I guess I'm not ready for him to settle down with anyone yet because there is far too many things left up in the air for him to be settled down enough to think. The more you write the you bring out problems that each one has. Rin has not gotten over her death by the wolf clan, Sesshoumaru can't get past the nightmares, Tai can never be a beta nor can Sesshoumaru so that won't work. The only person that has lived a life full of nothing but heartache and strife is the best one to help everyone. Inuyasha can teach Rin how to be brave because he had no one there for him. Show Sesshoumaru how overcome that which can not be changed, but to adapt and get stronger inspite of the circumstance. (ie he is a hanyou and just as strong if not stronger than most full-blooded demons.) And Tai could learn the same lesson as Sess about Inuyasha's strength to beat the odds. Show him that he may have spend more time with Sesshoumaru he also needs time to heal. It's like just because he has had a longer time to deal with his problems, that he doesn't need to heal. What they all can show him is that he is no longer alone. He now has what he has spent his whole life looking for. He may not have a mother, but Rin can fulfill the job as a younger sister to him, a daughter to Sess and the love of life and all things beautiful from both of Tai's mates. Thats what I'm getting from you so far. None of them are ready to take to next step just yet. As for the kissing between Tai and Sess, Sess is just reacting to someone he knows loves. With Inuyasha, he has always been honest about what he would do to Sess. If he meant hard then they fought if he meant to take care of then they talked and would do what ever to make sure that Sesshoumaru was alright.

As far as you proofing your own work you do a very good job. Little error here nd ther, but nothing that would warrent extra work.

Er...run Kouga?

Once again I can hear Inuyasha's thoughts:

"Kami, do I hafta do everything around here!? I need a freakin' break. Hell, can I even leave to get the damn heart? Everytime I go somewhere someone gets hurt! Seriously! How'd I get to be the strongest?! Ha! Can't leave for a minute. Too bad I couldn't use Ryuukotsusei's...he was a dragon right? Unfortunately it'll be all mush by now 'cause I killed him ages ago. Damnit. First thing, smooth shit over about Kouga...then the heart and hope everyone stays in one fucking piece until I get back *twitch*...Get Sairx healed and Miroku happy...then that paper work and the meeting...and find out what the fuck is going on with how the old man got hurt. Crap, when's the next New Moon anyways? And where the fuck is Myoga...wait, right, it's dangerous here. Besides, might be better if dad DIDN'T talk to Myoga and learn about all that's been goin' on while he was away. Geeze, I need a frigging bath too. But the family and now the wolf tribes are always hogging the frigging spring!Bastards."

As for a beta, I think you do a good job of catching your mistakes. Personally, I should get one as I can't spell and my grammer is worse than Inuyasha's. But, if you do get a beta, it will be longer between your updates because you'll have to wait for them to finish before you post. It can be hard to find a good beta with the same schedual as yourself.

Yay some of the old Sesshoumaru came out with the plant trying to "kill" him. They new guards, new plants for the gardens, a healing lord and mending advisor. Now maybe they can catch a little break or not...
