Wow, this was amazing! I'm so glad you wrote this Kouga-centric fic. It's a great tie into what had happened to him after the battle. An amazing, well-thought out oneshot. Good job!

What a mesmerizing character piece. Your progression of Kouga's character into an admirable leader is solid, believable and deeply affecting. There is a very timeless tone to this story, a sense of displacement and vanishing culture that has happened to many others across the world, and it's relatable in that sense. I'm reading some non-fiction about the U.S. government's dealings with the Plains tribes in the 1860s onward, and the somber but hopeful feel of your story harkens to that.

Amazing insight into an often overshadowed character. It pulls at the heart.
