Great story concept! Very new and refreshing, I'm enjoying it so far, but just a quick suggestion; get a beta. Your grammar is ok for the most part, its your spelling and sometimes using the completely wrong word from what you mean I'm just anal about it, but it would make reading your story more enjoyable if I wasn't correcting it in my head.

I have completely fallen off on my feedback obligations. Sorry I haven't reviewed this story. Maybe I was waiting until it got farther into the 'plot' and past the 'setup' stage... or maybe it's just time crunch. It's probably both.
I think you're doing a good job of setting up the characters. Can't wait to see what you do with all that you've set up.

I cannot believe you haven't been getting reviews up the wazoo for this story. It is really good and you have a pretty original presentation! There are some grammatical errors, but on the whole you're doing a very good job. Your character definition is A+, the characters are all very believable. It threw me for a loop when I realized that the setting was more Arabian than Japanese, but that is a nice change. You have me hooked, I want to see where you take this.
