Okay, I really like the originality here. I think that is going to interesting to Sess's character develope.
I am not sure how this is going to play into the traditional Sess/Kag, seeing how she has not even been born yet. Are you going to have Sesshoumaru's memory of Kagome guide him through this stage of his life? So many questions, but you don't have to answer if they are going to destroy your surprises.
I look forward to reading more on this story.

Wow, it's about time there is an original story on this bloody site. In the five years of being in the IY community I'm glad to see new ideas finally emerging and here I thought everything had been used up. Alright here is some advice to better your story; be a little more clear about the background, like the previous reviewer had no idea what war Sesshomaru is going to fight. We gather that it was before Kagome was born so it had to be before the 80's. Remember Japan fought many wars, mainly the one with China and the Philipeans pardon my spelling were the most remembered. As long as you make the content clear your story will do fine. Keep up the good work and hopefully my advice will help.
