I often wondered what kind of effect vacuuming in all those demons had on Miroku, now we have an idea.. And the fact that female dog demons were used, it was mating season... Just too perfect for Sesshomaru. But what about the mating mark he left on Miroku? Is this a one-shot or is there more to come?

As a foray into something new, especially considering that it's only as a result of a request, that was nicely done. I liked the concept of Miroku going off to have to recover, as well as the demonic energy taking a while to dissipate. Sesshoumaru was a little nicer than I'd expect, but considering you were saying you haven't seen Inuyasha in a while, still nicely done.

And the author's note at the end gave me a giggle. That opinion, that yaoi lovers just pop these boys into the situation as though they've had the hots for each other and are just itching to get it on, is a very common one. Just like good hetero, though, I would say that a good yaoi has to keep things pretty much in character or it's just...not all that fun to read. Much more enjoyable when one can have that moment you could say - I could actually see that happening.

I like it when I can find things that add to the likelihood of the story, heh. The fact that homosexual practices were historically so prevalent among the buddhist monks in Japan during that era, for example, made Miroku being open to that type of sex MUCH more likely, to my mind, LOL
