I stumbled upon your story again by accident and after reading my later review for it, I wasn't happy. So I deleted it and decided to give you something proper; a more detailed review not only on chapter 4, but the whole story.
First of all, thank you. Not many people reply to their reviewers and it's nice to see an author who does. Hell, I don't even do it. Also, thanks for reading Bedside Manner. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Secondly, I know at one time you planned on editing this chapter before continuing with the story. Maybe that's still the plan; or maybe you have the finished version on another site; or maybe so much time has passed and now with other important things in life, the story is not going to be finished. With that in mind, I'm just going to talk about what's here. I will say if it's unfinished and you want to pick it up again, don't think it's too late. Trust me, it's been six years since I've updated one of my stories and I'm just now getting back to writing it.
If you're sick of reading this review by now, and I surely wouldn't blame you, I can sum everything I'm about to say in two words: fantastic story. I love the way you've gotten into every character's head, especially Kagome's. Your writing is so detailed, so precise that when someone sees something, I can see it clearly in my mind. I can imagine the scent. They sit down for a meal and I get hungry. I'm happy that you didn't rush because if you did, you would not have put out something of this caliber. No one can when they rush.
About chapter 4 specifically: the meditation scene was fascinating. I myself have never taken a meditation class, but it sounds like what would be taught to help people find that inner peace. It is, in a word, believable. I liked the fight scene even more. For most of the time, whether in the anime or here in fanfiction, you'll find InuYasha eating, arguing with Kagome, or fighting with a demon. He has very few "serious" moments like this one you portrayed and it was wonderful, my favorite part of the chapter.
In closing, this was a great addition to a superb story. I will say that I hope you have continued writing over the years, if not "In the Mountains", then any kind of story. You are truly gifted.

I'm liking it so far. xD
Kirara reminds me a lot of my old cat named Demon. As long as he got treats, he just didn't care.

Your so very sweet. Its nice of you to reply to all of your commentators. Thank you for your generousity. Not many ppl do so I'm honored.
No worries about how long it takes for you to update. I'm always just relieved when I see a dedicated author who will be so kind as to finish the plots that they start. So I really thank you.
Chapter 3 was grand! I have always enjoyed a slow rise in climax's. It's just like what a real true author would do. Introducing the characters slowly, building the sences, to gradually build on the main plot. Your doing very well. Its a promising beginning.
Keep up the great work! I totally love details and I enjoy how your doing it in your writing.
Merry Christmas to you!!! I hope you have a fun one.

I read the summary for this story and knew I would like it. Although the relationship Kagome and InuYasha have, this sort of 'hidden love', isn't unique, you've placed it in a unique environment. I really like that, and I'm looking forward to your next update.

Cute, very cute, the interaction b/t S and K.
Kirara with a flea problem? Hmmmm, couldn't she
just burn them off with her fire?
Fun, light chapter, building up to the angst, I
presume? Something that caught my eye, it's
'phases', if you wanted to us to catch any errors.
I really like this, and will be looking for the
next bit.
Happy Holidays, and New Year!
