I like the idea of Kuronue disagreeing with him over him breaking his vow/relinquishing his claim on Kagome. Hmmm. What could those "matters beyond his control" be? Good for Kouga for sticking up for her, too! So, where IS Inuyasha, btw?

I think my heart is breaking! Youko was so cruel to Kagome in the first chapter. I am glad Kouga came to her defense though, and you know it's bad when Kuronue doesn't agree with Youko. BTW, where is Inuyasha? Will he be making an appearance later?

AHHHH!!! I've been waiting since forever for you to update! I'm a little confused about the whole Yomi thing, but I guess I'll just have to wait and see where you take it from here. OMG, when is Kagome going to come back into the picture? I'm still waiting for her to kick Youko's butt!

Very nice! I enjoyed the flashback sequence style since it gets a nice summary of events in without being too "outline"ish. It's also a good idea that you had to put in that a small part of her knew he was wrong, and she had that odd sense of calm (everyone thats ever had their heart broken can vouche for that being true). I hope you haven't lost interest in this story because it has tons of potential! I'm guessing chapter 2 will have some introduction to Kurama and possibly how Kagome does getting to her side of the well, ie hospital trip for her wounds, etc. Would be interesting if he came across her in the hospital or anything besides the typical "koenma sends his team to investigate the time traveler / disturbance / appearance of the skikon jewel" and they end up at her shrine plot. Good luck continuing, I hope to read more soon!

YOUKO IS SO CRUEL! How could he do that to poor Kagome?!?! After all she's been through. I hope she rips him a new one in the chapters to come. He deserves it! Also, I have a feeling I know where this is going to go since you mentioned that this chapter was based off of a chapter in New Moon. Anyway, great start. Ja!

Hm... I'm sure Youko had his reasons, but still. I wonder if Kuronue's absence means he didn't agree? This promises to be full of angst and hopefully romance, too. Nicely done. Thanks for posting. :)
