Seeing as you think that there will only be a few more chapters, and rereading this fic from start to finish, i finally feel like taking a guess at the culprit... but the only one that would go through such an elaborate set up, would be onigumo/naraku ... and that still does not answer the question of how the souls got eradicated... Gah, my brain hurts... Please update soon!!!

Okay, I know this probably sounds crazy, after reading your last chapter I just couldn't come up with any ideas of who the main bad guy is. (As I said in my last review) But then as I was trying to get some sleep the thought entered my mind and I just couldn't shake it. Shippo.
I know crazy, But it all fits with the exception of how the three guys's souls were purified.
I just think that Shippo is very possesive of his Kagome.
What can I say, I just had to write it down. I'm probably way off.
Any way, love this story, hope to see more in the future.

It was wonderful to see another chapter to this story. It has got to be one of the most in depth tales I've read anywhere. I think the fact that you had HIei and Kagome get married is not only original, but it also is keeping the chapracters very true to themselves. Hiei is very complex and has more depth then his teammates give him creadit for.
Anyway, I totaly understand how time can run away with you and wont bagger you to hurry. But I will be looking forward to the next chapter, I have been wracking my brain for many chapters now trying to figure out who the killer is. Best of luck with your new computer and time for writing I will be waiting to see the fruits of your wonderful efforts.

Sweet...bAbY...JESUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can yell that with no threat of sacrilege because I gave up fanfic reading for Lent, so I think of it as rousing praise for the Good Lord's Easter abundance. God BLESS having this new chapter to come back to. He is risen INDEED!!!!
Alright, my personal tent revival aside, you took this chapter to CHURCH and back!!!! The depth of plot and character development in this chapter alone went beyond any fanfiction I have ever read. In my life. In my 7 past lives. In my first run as a paramecium on precambrian earth. The first scene exploring Kagome's recollections blew me away. It was simultaneously sweeping and intimate, both in her nostalgia of the past and Hiei's reactions to her memories. Their closeness was so tangible I could feel the warmth of body heat and love. Sounds corny, but dag nabbit if you don't elicit that from your readers with each word you write. You immersed me in the past with each of her mates in a bittersweet, fragile, absolutely beautiful way.
In this chapter specifically, I was very aware of how much deliberate care you take with word choice, or at least, that you can fake attention to detail like a high-class ho. Isn't that something to be proud of? Each character had substantial time in the spotlight. Not one sidestory was compromised in your goal to further the bond between Hiei and Kagome. I tell you, I don't miss the minute allusions and subtle details you put in your work, not in the description and not in the dialog. Even though I'm still nursing the shrapnel wounds from the Genjiro bombshell, the solid strength of your writing ability left me more than fulfilled. Actually, speaking of said WMD, I seem to recall that Genkai used the word "related", not "siblings". Hmmmmmmmm.....*swasdiva thoughtfully strokes chin and puffs pipe, then coughs like an old Jersey grandma*
I utterly adored the entirety of this chapter. Every. Single. Word. And oh yeah, the last ones especially. Good boy, Hiei. Very, very, very good boy. I cannot wait to read the follow-up to THAT.
We now interrupt the regularly scheduled review with a word from our...uh...reviewer....
So yeah, since I don't know your email, I just have to thank you where all the world can see. It is reviews like yours that make me want to write stories at all. I am, of course, referring to the exquisite, should-be-dipped-in-bronze review you left for "The Grand Cross". I take great care in formulating plots and choosing words. That's why I appreciate it so much when I can see that same effort in another author's work and why it takes me eons to post a stinking one-shot. I'm both lazy and way too meticulous, a lethal fanfiction combination. The fact that you got exactly what I was trying to do really means a lot, I mean copiously, heinously, profusely, really, really, *really* means a lot. So thank you for the perfect review. It made my life.
