Wonderful story. I look forward for the next update. I'd love to see a Kurama and Kagome pairing. Though, poor Hiei... But you're creative! You'll think of something! :)

Oh no. You did NOT just leave us with such a MAJOR freaking cliffy. That has got to be the worst, most EVIL cliffy I have ever read! *pounces and shakes you violently* Write more! Write more now!!! *steps back calmly a few minutes later* Ahem...anyways, in all honesty it would seem that subconsciously you actually HAVE decided on a pairing. From what I have read I have actually come to expect a Hiei/Kagome pairing, as I'm sure most others have as well. There is even a possibility for Hiei/Kagome/Kurama. But other then that, I can only see friendship between the others. It's already been made clear earlier in your story that Kuwabara and Yukina are one pairing. And that Yuseke and Keiko are another. But with the way you have been focusing on Hiei and Kagome the most through out this story, even though you say that consciously you don't know what pairing it was, I would still have to agree with my former statement that subconsciously you have. To pair her with anyone else at this point would just be confusing and honestly, weird. Even a bit of a let down. This story so far is amazing. Well thought out and put together, good p.o.v's, excellent detail and a really good solid plot. I greatly look forward to reading more. If you wouldn't mind fixing the last chapter it would be greatly appreciated. Due to that new update, I think it was a rich text format, the chapter looks off and even shows some of the code. Making it kinda hard to read.

I just finished rereading Searching for shelter, I swear it gets better each time I read it. How about Kagome gets two guys to love and protect her??? (Hiei & Kurama) I've always love these three as a pairing.

I am so bored. Of waiting for you to update your bloody stories.

I really enjoy this story. It is a bit angsty but there are reasons for that. As far as pairings go I am leaning towards Heie/Kagome or Kurama/Kagome with a side of Yuoko (mainly because there can't be a relationship with just one part of Kurama.) I am thinking that something needs to happen between Keiko and Yusuke to either fix their relationship or end it. I adore Kuwabara and Yukina. I look forward to the next chapter. Have a great day.

I love the story so far, hard to find new multichapter crossovers for inu/yyh since Ryu and Brokensoul moved on. Kagome needs Hiei, but I might be bias since thats my favorite inuyasha/yyh pairing.

Thank you for a new chapter. I very much enjoyed it! So I get a vote in the pairing? :) I think Kurama would be a perfect partner for Kagome. A combination of much needed gentleness and strength to protect her. Perfect.

I am SO happy right now! ^_^ (I just wish AFF gave out alerts when my favorite stories are updated!) Such a wonderful chapter. I'll start out by saying that yeah, Sess was a little OOC, in terms of his openness and caring, but I thought he fit perfectly for the purposes of bringing Kagome around. And I would expect him to be as astute and perceptive as you made him, so he was the best person to see what she was doing to herself. (Especially since her new companions have been neglecting her.)

Inuyasha had to be confined to his room? I am SO curious to find out what he wants with/from Kagome! Does he want her love? Her devotion? They would have to make him feel good, even if the feelings weren't returned so strongly or in that manner at all. Or is it a case of wanting her because he can't have Kikyou, -- taking what he can get? Or is there something else going on? Does he want the Shikon jewel?

Poor Kagome. She's pushing herself to death. She's so desperate to be able to protect herself so no one else will be hurt. And she's avoiding making friends with her new companions because she thinks it will keep them safer that way. And their absence is making that very easy. (They need Sess to kick their butts.) He was so perceptive to her problem. I loved it when you pointed out that the thing she really needed in order to heal was the one thing she was denying herself.

And I think you are just brilliant for the way you handled Shippou's news about Kouga and Ayame. Kagome's reaction was perfect. It's only natural that she would feel sad, even though she hadn't wanted him to wait for her just in case her feelings changed. It's just knowing that everyone else got their "happy ending" but her. That was a masterful touch because the emotion was so real.

Sess suggests she ask her new compaions for their help and training. His words of advice were just right: "Do not push them away, for it will only put them in danger. Keep them close. It's what you do best, Kagome." That was exactly the right way for him to say that. She suddenly realized that by not working with them, she was setting HERSELF up to be a liability to THEM.

I loved his thoughts about Hiei and him wondering what she saw in him that made her save him. His comparison of her snap judgment decision to the same way she had so quickly and easily accepted Inuyasha was spot-on. And Hiei's irritation that Sess could know so much about him from so many different sources played out just right. He's such a private person that that WOULD rub him the wrong way. I was so glad that Sess mentioned they needed to be protecting her, and added on the part about Inuyasha knowing she was alive and wanting to see her. Hiei was completely taken off guard by that, and by his own reaction to the thought of Inu getting close to her again. But all he knew about Inu was what he had learned from Kag's mother and that was good stuff and praise. If Sess realized that Kurama and Yusuke had not shared the information they had learned with the others, he would knock their heads together. They really AREN'T taking their duty to protect her seriously yet. And as he pointed out in his thoughts, if they had bothered to get to know her at all, they would have taken it seriously just because they wouldn't be able to resist caring about her. But, they haven't done that. (I can't wait for the next chapter!!! I hope Sess has a talk with Koenma, or that Hiei and the others have a talk about her. ^_^)

I know you haven't announced a pairing for this, but I can only say again that I think you have set this up so perfectly for Hiei/Kag. And that makes my heart sing. ^_^ Hiei has been learning more about her and coming to some realizations that make him view her differently. And appreciatively. He even admitted that they had a lot in common in terms of their pasts and the way they have affected them and the way they try to deal with them. And it blew him away when he realized that she already accepts him, just as he is, without explanation or conditions. And when she said that she will do her best to learn to control hjer powerz so she can protect others, he was just stunned. "Your only duty is to protect the Shikon." He had no idea at all that she was viewing him and the tohers as people she needed to protect. Then, she apologized to him. I think we could have knocked the little hiyoukai over with a feather after that. And when he told her that her apology was note ... and accepted, well, I know that's not a romantic interaction, but it made me swoon anyway. ^_^ It was a turning point for them in a way in that now he is looking at her completely differently and she is ready to let herself be the person she was, who is entirely irresistible and lovable. I am enjoying this story SO MUCH!! I hope you will get time to update it soon.

Oh man It was just getting good!!! Oh well I'll have to wait until the next chapter. i can't wait! well i have to go to sleep i have to work tomorrow.
