I've NEVER been a big fan of Kagome, but Sesshoumaru is a being a little annoying and extreme. She does have her uses from time to time. Is he ever going to see this, or is he going to dog her throughout the entire fic? Anyway, great chapter. Take your time with Inuyasha's near-rape recovery. So many people rush through it, and it's not that easy. It's hard on women, but it's especially hard on men. Women are used to submitting in some form or fashion, but men feel that they are naturally in charge. Men aren't designed to be taken, so the whole act threatens their manhood. So, while a women may take, say a few months to mentally recover, a man may take years. It does things to them that we can't understand.

I didnt think that I would like this story, but after noticing how many reviews you got I decided to see what the fuss was all about. Its suprisingly really well written ^_^ great job. I"m only on chapter 7 and its fab! I can't wait to read some lemons. I hope you turn this into an MPREG but thats prb not a chance. but great story. I"ll be looking for more

Good stuff! Sesshoumaru finally admits to himself that he's the main reason that Inuyasha is the way he is. And yes, I agree with you. The way that Inuyasha reacts and feels about the past rape and near-rape by Naraku is not something that will change magically with just a few words or just go away. That's a great idea; Sess as the therapist for Inuyasha! He can tell right away what's working and what isn't. I liked the part where he sang to Inuyasha and himself. He's on the right track.

Will Inuyasha ever tell his mate about the past rape? I keep thinking that he must have been pretty young when it happened. He must have been small enough for an adult to subdue with force. I can't imagine that a near-mature Inuyasha wouldn't have been strong enough as a human to beat the nasty jerk to death first. It certainly happened way before he was pinned to the tree by Kikyou.

Ack! Stay away from the Inuyasha groupies Sesshoumaru!! Poor Sesshoumaru; he's working on the idea that Kagome is a traditional Miko from his time. She wasn't raised from childhood as a healer and doesn't really know how to channel her spritual powers. Miroku would be better suited to giving aid and advice. In his wanderings and with his training, I am sure that he has had to help treat all kinds of 'people problems'. War and disease, general figthing to survive creates a lot of victims. Sesshoumaru would be better off getting help from him for Inuyasha, and himslef.

Will we get to see later on how Rin and Jaken react to Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha? I just see Jaken being, well, green with envy...lol

wow one again a wonderful chapter, being a survior of rape myself when I was quite young, you are correct in your writing, sometimes it can take years to over come rape and the one thing needed above all is understanding and tenderness which you showed clearly in this chapter. I loved the way what happened to the puppy has really made Sess see what he has been doing and not only will he have to help Inu get over the attempted rape but the years of being neglected when he needed the comfort the most.

I can not say it enough what a talented and wonderful writer you are. It is a joy to look every day to see if you have added a new chapter. Keep up the good work :O)

My thoughts are a bit jumbled so bear with me... Wow! That's a word that came up a lot... That description of Naraku dying was pretty visceral. Yeeee! Well done on that score. Funny how Sesshomaru didn't feel better! That was kind of relief actually.... I'm so glad you put Kirara in there for comic relief! Whether it was intentional or not! Hmmm... I did like the singing and the rocking. It was really sweet... And letting him knock him down... That picture of Sesshomaru picking up and examining a feral Inuyasha like he was a puppy... I just cracked up! *sigh* Poor little Yashie... Obviously you have to speed things up but the weird thought processes are spot on...

It's so sad to see InuYasha so broken. I seriously hope that the poor guy can finally get some peace of mind, whether or not there is a "piece" in there or not. Sesshomaru seems to have softened quite a bit, and I'm glad to see the transition.
