Whew! I missed a couple chapters and finally got caught up. I started reading your work here, it's only fitting that continue to do so here (I just miss the 'notify' that I grew to count on over at that 'other place'.)
The angst factor has been through the roof, but damn. I was honestly impressed with your detail of Inu's physical and emotional reactions post the 'attempted rape'. It was more than that, he had been tortured, mind fucked in the deepest most lasting way, and the physically 'shocky' reaction nearly rang too many bells in my own head. I did have to break for a short time after that.
The introspection as Sess examines how it came about for him to resent Inu so much in the first place was just genius. Of course he would only deny any sense of guilt, for anything. Ever. Until now. That Naraku's recanting of Sess's own taunting, hateful words would kick Sess so hard in his own heart and conscience says alot for how deep his caring for Inu really has become. You did an amazing job at conveying just how evil that 'mutant bastard' is. I cringed at the power of Sess's absolute fury at not being able to bring Naraku back to 'just do it over and over again', regardless of how hideous the bastard's undoing ultimately was.
Sess's tenderness at the hot spring, and following maturity in refusing Inu's demands that he take him (once Inu recovered enough to make them) was very moving. My, my hasn't our demon lord come a long way. The humming of a tune to a song long forgotten, as he rocked him was just ... wow. So nurturing. So loving. I am so looking forward to where it goes next. Wow, Naraku's gone!! *does a little happy dance*

Chapter 25; Another thing about it.
Sesshoumaru sure could have expressed himslef better. That he won't consummate their bond until Inuyasha tells him that he doesn't want to is a strange explanation! That was not a good choice of words to say why he is not taking Inuyasha. It sounds a lot like Sesshoumaru is telling Inuyasha he will have to beg. That is exactly what Naraku forced Inuyasha to do; beg. Yup, he needs to word it a whole lot better than that. He should have told him his thoughts; that it would be better when they desired each other at the same time; be equally passionate for the other mate. Plenty of time for those delightful fantasies of his later! I'm sure Inuyasha will have a few of his own.
Plus, Sesshoumaru still hasn't realized why his own youkai is trying its damned best to get him to protect and keep Inuyasha safe; because it is natural for him as seme. Too bad he didn't listen to dear old dad when he had the chance! I wonder what else he doesn't know about their unique situation. Will Sesshoumaru start to feel compelled to make sure that Inuyasha eats first and gets as much food as he wants; has more clothes to wear; commission more magic weapons for him; make sure he can rest without fear of attacks; read to him (he could borrow Mirkou's copy of the 'Kama Sutra'((written in the 4th century)) for sure...lol...can just hear it now!!). He could just tell everyone that he is doing all of the above to make sure Inuyasha stays healthy. And he should sing more; Inuyasha seems to like it. Yeah, bring on the karaoke! This is a great story!

Damn! I just have to say, you are one of my favorite authors on this site! You write the most fabulously wonderful stories. I've been meaning to review this one, but I kept forgetting. I am so lovin this fic! It would be kinda nice to have Sesshy come to the realization that Kagome and the rest are not that bad. But this is your story, and I'm gonna enjoy it no matter where you take it. I'm just along for the ride! Kudos on a fucking fantabulous story!

ohh...poor puppy!!! inuyasha is going through many things that are confusing him...and making feel guilty............it was a bad thing that he accepted the role of leader when he was not up for that position....
hopefully, sesshomaru will accomplish many things with the puppy...like making recover himself from experiences in the past!!! sesshomaru is part to blame...big part...as he was never there for inuyasha and let the puppy alone during so many time...and the, saying words that hurt inuyasha to no end!!
good thing sesshomaru knows how to use his head...so, he can think of something to help in such a desesperate situation!!

Wow, the reviews are all over the board for this one. The simple fact is, I like the chapter just the way it is. Inuyasha needs to have Sesshoumaru rescue him as much as Sesshoumaru needed to kill Naraku. I hope that he can start rebuilding Inuyasha's sense of self soon. Poor little puppy has been sooo traumatized he needs sex to feel better...
