Hooray!!! Finally a light at the end of the very long tunnel. I must have missed the last couple of updates. I'm frequently gone and don't have access to a computer, but I'm caught up now. I hate it that Sesshomaru is so broken but not completely. It will take coming straight up from the bottom to gather all his strength to defeat (and torture I hope) Asuza(?) and her minions.
THis story just makes me squirm, but I love it. You do break it up with the sweet story of Shippo and Rin. I believe that Sesshomru is doing as much healing as Kagome is. Sometimes the act of touching has more healing in it than the most potent of medicines. Acceptance is everything. I'm also really proud of Jaken. He is holding the castle. THat is so cool.
I have missed you. You are just about the only one of my favorite authors left that post anymore. So I cling. Til next time, Deb.

Dear friend,
I don't know your name or how to address you so I'll just call you a friend. I like to think that perhaps that's what readers become because we know the part of you that you let us through your writing. I love this story. I read a lot of fanfiction, probably to much in fact( oops, LOL), but this story is one of my favorites. I love that it's dark enough for the light to hold meaning. Your approach a story telling seems unhurried and practiced. The mixture of plot and detail is perfect. Most writers either drown you in description or rush through it in order to reveal their plot and bask in lemony goodness and fluff. I think you captured the essence of a good sess\kag fic with a slow development of trust and compainionship. Please keep up the good work. It always makes me smile when I log on and find you've updated your story. Sincerly, Aine

Yay! I'm so glad you updated this and I totally can't wait for the next chapter.
Seriously, this update made my day. I'm on a study abroad program in Spain and I've been sharing a single room with someone else, have had to sleep on a broken bed, have had no air conditioning, no laundry service, and now the hot water heater doesn't work, so the showers are ice cold.
Thank you so much for making my day. :)

Hello Rin...this last chapter was very hope inspiring. So the little girl still lives and she has found a way to possibly help Sesshoumaru escape, even if it may mean her own death. What a brave and determined girl. I really like her name too. The scene where Kagome was checking Sesshoumaru for injury was so sweet and tender. The kiss was so unexpected. I was happy it helped him to forget the degradation he has been through, even if only for a few short minutes. This chapter has finally shown alittle light at the end of the tunnel. And I'm glad this will be a long fic. I do so love the way you make such twisted, gruesome situations spin around to something amazingly beautiful without ever rushing the storyline just to get Sesshoumaru and Kagome together sexually. You build their relationship and give them a firm foundation in which to trust each other and their love. I always find myself filled with such anticipation each time I see a new update. Rock on, Rin! Jen
