I remember the movie with brandy. And let's not forget Ever After! I like how you made it the stepfather, instead of an evil stepmother. So far it seems like the story is leaning towards emulating Ever After, with accents from the other movies thrown in to add variety. Nice way to give originality without destroying the integrity of the plot. I especially liked the mention of why she is called cinderella. I love fairy tales in their original form. Too many people think Disney made the stories without reading the REAL tales.

I absolutely adore fairy tale fics. You're right; Beauty and the Beast is a very popular one for Inu Yasha. I really like how you are adapting Cinderella. I can't wait to read more.
