I stopped to give your story a try because the summery grabbed my attention. I think the idea of this is very good. Kagome being trapped in the feudal era after Inuyasha has chosen Kikyo has lot of potential. For example, it would be interesting to read about the role reversal that would come about from the situation. How would Kikyo react to having Inuyasha's sudden disappearances when he feels compelled to protect Kagome? The fact that Kagome's normal escape has been taken away. The potential for drama is huge.
However it's a bit bothersome to read with the indentation. I understand that is how they teach you to write things with word in high school keyboarding, but it is much easier to read without them.
In my own opinion, I feel the start was too fast. We go from finding out Inuyasha has gone off with Kikyo to Sango already thinking Kagome is dieing inside, in the space of two or three paragraphs.
The beginning of this is a wonderful opportunity to grab our attention. When I read it I wanted to read more about why Inuyasha left, and why Kagome is stuck. After that I wanted to read about her feelings. If you really think about how you would feel in a similar situation, it might help you to elaborate on her state of mind.
After spending the time to review this I'm even more enthused about the potential of this story. I have meant no ill will by righting this, but as the story is now I can't go on reading it. I hope your muse and beta help you to build this story to its potential.
