So glad to see you updated, what a wonderful story.

You're such a doll to update two of my favorite stories!! I had to read both of them right away, but I only had time to review one of them. So, I'm back to write up my thoughts about this one, too. ^_^ First of all, I believe I had commented last time that Kurama and Koenma both seemed to be connecting with Kag really nicely in this, too, and you were making it difficult for me to just root for one, or TWO of them. LOL!! Of course, I was always rooting for Hiei, and having Yusuke in the mix, too, is fine with me. ^_~ You've done a good job of making a case for both of them developing relationships with her and then understanding each other enough to accept and respect each other's claim. But, I appreciated your clever mention of Kurama's relationship with Shizuru, just to keep my mind from wandering too far. LOL!! And I LOVED Hiei and Yusuke glaring at him when he included himself by saying WE want to help you and protect you and WE care about you. I nearly split a gut over their thoughts that while they might accept each other, that was their limit. LOL!!

I like to see a strong, confident Kagome, but not one that is too powerful. I liked the way you had her ready to face those youkai to prove herself -- TO herself. When she said, You have my back," I was thinking, "You GO, girl!" And it was great that the guys were so understanding of her need to do that. That was a great touch. She let them know she wanted to be a real partner and not just someone they had to protect all the time.

You surprized me when she asked them up front if they cared for her as more than a friend. Loved Hiei's succint "Yes." You nailed it! And I'm so glad you had her thinking and feeling like a "jerk." Again, I was a bit surprized that she told them that. And in her thoughts, she was feeling worse than THAT. She felt guilty and dirty for caring for both of them. Again, I think you hit that just right. I am really enjoying the way you are writing both Yusuke and Hiei and their thoughts and feelings about her and how special she is. "Screw anyone else who would want to mess with it." Amen!! This was a great chapter, and I can't wait for more!!
