Wow...I read chapter 3...then came back and there were like, 10 chapters! And all that talk about alcohol being involved and not knowing if it made it worse or not....geez. Whatever you're doing, keep doing it! You have me enthralled and I eagerly await the next installment!

I really, really like how this is turning out. (Garth Brooks is a Genius).
However, I can't tell if it's my computer screwing up or not, but you
repeated chapter 8 in chapter 9, only the chapter titles were different.
Just letting you know.
Keep up the good work!

Wow! I love the story so far! This is the first story I've read of Inuyasha's parents, so it's a definite breath of fresh air. The descriptions are very detailed and succeed in giving a complete picture of the scene and characters. The ending also left me wanting more, so please update as soon as possible! Thanks for a great beginning!

Sweet mother of smokeless powder, this rules! Beta reader or no beta reader, it takes no small amount of proficiency - talent - with the English language to write well with it, and miss, you are swimming in the stuff. Hell, you're sailing around the central Atlantic and torpedoeing everything that gets in your way. Furthermore, I applaud your decision to balk at AFF's current, temperamental nature by going ahead and publishing quality work, even though not many people will likely read it in the near future, much less leave a review. Even in its first chapter, your story is looking great.
Great opening quote, by the way.

Well, whether or not you want people to go out of your way to review you, I'll have you know I fought for ten minutes against AFF "timed out connection" error messages just to make damn sure you know that I think this fic is off to a great start and shows a hell of a lot of potential. In particular, I like how the tone is indeed as dark as the background setting would suggest that the characters would be. Sure as hell beats a lot of these "fluff at first sight" fics I so often see.
Anyways, very nice job, and I'm looking very foreword to more.
