I just read "The Day the Flowers Bloomed Black" and have to see it was excellent. Characterization seemed appropriate for everyone involved and no motives were unjustified. What I especially enjoyed was the ending, which was well crafted and not plugged in the summary with a generic slug such as "You won't believe how this ends!"
