Hell yea you're back! And with lots of citrusy goodness! :) Glad to see you writing again angel, I hope there'll be a lot more this time around. Great job having Kags wake up at the right moment -- and zapping Naraku and turning to Inu like 'shouldn't you be in more pain?' was just poetic! It was just too hot! I think I need a cold shower before I can do anything else today. And throwing the limiter and unleashing on her -- yum-o! Okay, I'll stop. Great job on the chapter. Emails if you need anything.

Okay, I never come to this site anymore. Seriously, I've been here once in the past six months, and that was just to update my WIP. But I happened to swing by this afternoon, and I see you've updated, not once, but TWICE! See, I knew AFF was still good for something! :D
Nothing can reduce me to a frothing pile of rabid fangirl more than one of your updates. For real. When I came here and saw Shades of Gray at the top of the page, I looked like this: http://www.pastdeadline.com/images/stimpy_1.jpg
...Only, you know. Without the cat litter.
So these chapters were pretty intense. I was hurting pretty badly for InuYasha, and I wanted to smack Kagome upside the head a few times, but that girl's been through a lot. I have to be honest - I'm pretty grateful you didn't prolong the suffering any further than you did (not that it's not still happening to some extent), because the angst was reaching the nearly unbearable level for me. But it looks like you're starting to pull some more things together quite nicely. We may get a happy ending yet!
And I wouldn't worry too much about the length of time between updates; your stuff is always worth waiting for. Always. I hope life is treating you a little better and giving you more reasons to smile. :) And may the bringers of all things unpleasant to your doorstep meet untimely and violent ends. If you need somebody to make that happen, give me a call. *gathers the chains*
Thanks for posting - until next time!

I don't have a lot of time to respond because I'm currently at work and not supposed to be here at all -- but I couldn't help it. Wow -- some serious emotions in that chappy and I didn't want to stop reading. I completely lol'ed at Miro and Rin's little Godzilla spiel -- that was inspired! And geez -- Kags is so on his mind that he can't tell her blurred image from Kik anymore. DAMN! I know he's pissed, but sometimes you just want to knock the crap out of him. And her too! Wow - you've done a major bang up job of making her a bitch lately! BRAVO -- and we finally "see" Hiten too. . .YAY!
Great work -- email me if you feel like it!

Since I am a slow reader it took me a while to read but my god it was worth it.
You are a very talent writer and I love this story. All the quote, highs, lows, twists, turns, blood, sweat, tears, violence, comedy, drama, smutt and suspense (some of which forced me to stay up til late hours in the morn just to read what happened next) I loved it all... and words can not describe how much I love this story. @.@
For some reason Kagejiro reminded me of a irl Texan friend I have and copy pasted some of the moment and he agreed that it was him dead on. XD And for some reason I imagined him with a Auzzy accent instead of Irish. o.o
The last twist has got me wondering if Naraku actually photoshoped the images or not, since it seems like the kind of shit he would pull just to piss InuYasha off... plus from what I read it doesn't seem that Kagome has done anything yet.
Can't wait for the next chapter. I'll be keeping an eye out for the next one. :3

Kag's dad is the gem I thought he would be...complete & utter asshole! The boys road trip & 'visit' with dear ole Da' aint's gonna be pretty, is it? I am so on the edge of my chair waiting for the next chappie. And I am sure the return of Oberon is not far off, eh?

Wends --
Oh, Jak's back. . .I kinda pictured the drop down drag out with daddy to be a little more screaming and a lot less whimpering, but she did get her spine straighter toward the end. Her dad is a major douche and it's just sad to have him show up at such a painful time and blame everything on her again, but you must his the bottom before you can find your footing and climb back up -- and now, she has nothing left to lose. "This passion, and the death of a dear friend, would go near to make a man look sad." - MidSummer Act V. Scene I."And so beguile thy sorrow, till the heavens Reveal the damned contriver of this deed." - Titus Andronicus Act IV. Scene I.
And here I was starting to like Kikyou. . . spoiled little bitch. I actually felt sorry for her from that scene with her mystery man -- but not now.. .she had to go run to daddy. At least Sesshiles is coming around. Let's hope his dilemma saves our poor Inu some headache and heartbreak, although he's pretty good at digging that up on his own. Great chapter! Can't wait for the next one. . .

You can't even begin to know how happy I was to see that you had updated this story.. I was giddy with joy this morning as I got to read another wonderful chappy.. Sorry you were sick but glad you got to write a bit... Hope to see more soon but I never hold it against anyone for taking their time with pieces of art such as this.

Omg, I cried SO hard when Sesshoumaru met his son. It was SO sweet. Seriously, this is one badass story and it deserves every review, award and nomination it gets!

*sighs*
It's been far too long since I've read this story and I forgot how much I missed it. Since I've had to refresh my memory and then play catch up, this review probably won't be too long since I'm not sure I will be able to pull my thoughts together after reading so much :)
I would like to say, though, that I don't see how Kagome is OOC in the last chapter. I was actually thinking, while reading, how well you did showing that she is far from being out of Bank's control. The psychological trauma he has caused her has reached out and spewed into every aspect of her life. I am hardly surprised to see her not trusting anyone around her. Although, I will admit that the romanticist in me cried a little when she refused to believe Inuyasha - because, really, I just want them to be happy and together. However, I like that you keep this sort of 'real life' and that it's messy and heart wrenching and cruel and dark because life is so often like that.
A few things that I really loved in the past...however many chapters I just read: Inuyasha telling Rin he would help her out (that entire scene with Ken was so heart warming), the appearance of 'Jiro (because he is hilarious and strangely perceptive, which I think Inuyasha will benefit from), and, as always, Miroku and his damn mouth (masturbated in the grapefruit...Hahahaha...that line was so frakin' funny I nearly fell out of my chair).
As for the cliffie...well, I for one, don't mind. I think I've been reading this story almost as long as you've been writing it and you're such a brilliant story teller that I can wait a little longer to find out what happens next...just not, you know, too long :)
