I'm hooked. I saw the bait (SxK) and bit immediately. It's the tastiest morsel in the vast sea of IY fanfic if I do say so myself. *Sorry for the rambling. I have an ear infection, strep throat and the flu...not to mention I'm on copious amounts of drugs, so yeah, I'm loopy* Anyhoo, I love the premise, that you've written Kagome with a bit more practicality than the constantly swooning Inuyasha love-devotee. She cares about him but has a resilient head on her shoulders, though, without knowing for sure who this shadowy figure is, I'd advise her to watch said head closely so she doesn't lose it to some deranged spirit/demon/monster thing. I'm eager to read more of this based on the evil cliffy you left us tripping over, so please continue! ^_^

"Shimmering, translucent form"? Midoriko, maybe? Or even Sesshoumaru, since he's the chosen lover in this fic? Just a guess. Which brings up an interesting question: How can you handle so many storylines? I'd accidentally become focused on one and forget the others, or get my lines crossed. You're very talented. ^_^
