Good sweet lord, I am really loving this fic. Your angle on Kagome sympathizing with Sugimi through Shippo was an interesting take, and I must say a much more plausible motivation than if she just randomly started to love Sesshoumaru. It's clever turns like that, coupled with your strong writing, that keeps me on my toes. Your pace is steady, but leaves just enough mystery to keep me guessing, too. I'm quite enamoured with this story, and can't wait to read more. Is Kagome going to save Rin and impress Sesshoumaru? Will they save her together? Will he catch them at a bad time and assume Kagome hurt Rin? Oh the possibilites are endless! Great, thrilling chapter!

My favorite part of this chapter was how insightful Miroku was. So many times, he's portrayed as just a groping, smutty pervert. And don't get me wrong, I love that about him. But I also like it when his intelligence is shown. Not to mention, it was a great writer's tactic to develop plot and character. Good job!

Good story! I hope you update soon. I also hope Inuyasha realizes what he's lost because Kikyou always seems to betray him, and Kagome is always there for him. I love Sess/Kag stories (my favorite pairing!), so I can't wait to see the next chapter!
