Chapter Eight!
So sorry that I haven't reviewed yet! I just reread it. *dancing around, happy action whore* Weeeeeeeeeee! I loved the fight scene (so very well done) and the smart ass remarks and all the subtle humor. I'm on cloud nine. And, Oh gosh! *sniffle* Sesshoumaru being so injured. I really feel bad for him. Kagome pulled Tetsusaiga out of its perch. Even if he owned it, he would barely be able to use it. Then Inuyasha cuts his arm off with it. And now, Kagome goes and uses Tensaiga! (Wonderful cool thing that was!) What an insult and humiliating for Sesshoumaru. Sesshoumaru needs a booster big time! I feel so bad for him. It's all your fault too! Poor guy, standing out there all alone. I'm so glad that you sent Inuyasha out to be with him.
The whole segment of Kagome breaking the subjection beads was...well ...*sniffles, sweet and sad and...I'm gonna cry.
Rin and Shippou are so sweet. I hope that everything works out for Rin. She really doesn't want to live with humans. That's a tough one. You'll probably get us all up in tears over that one too. Meanie.
I don't remember which chapter it was in, but I loved the whole segment with Inuyasha being wary of showing affection toward Sesshoumaru in her presence. You did a great job on that. I almost cried, probably did.
I know I'm missing stuff, but today is one of my dizzy days. *whispers, shhhhh* Totally fucking awesome job with the adverbs! Oh, right. Shhhh. ^_^

this is my first opportunity to comment (i think, but then the holidays took such
a toll on me that i dont remember much) but anyway, even if i have previously commented, i still have these to say:
i like your fics. if it seems to be such a bland insipid word, it isnt.
i've been reading your Inglorious, Fraternal, and now Comaraderie -
and have copied the entire thing (I used the copy all feature =) ) on my hard disk
for the times and moments when the internet is down and i cant access aff or mm.
they are wonderfully written fics - and put together is spelling to be a novel.
or novellette. i am not one much for labels.
i wanted to say that you laid the foundation for this fic very nicely
in Inglorious. and the way it was continued in Fraternal...
my apologies if i am putting it is a review to this fic,
but it seems part and parcel to me
i like the development of the stories and the way you set it up.
i am not saying your fic is error-free, there are some minor grammatical errors
but these are petty errors and do not detract from the beauty of your fic.
i hope you continue to write.... even if you dont get anything out of it
you do give a lot of reading (and imagining) pleasure to your readers.
i am one of those voracious readers.
i read not only fanfic but tons of other stuff.
i say that not to brag but to let you know
the quality and quantity of my reading materials.

This has been an excellent story so far. I think that you ahve done a great job with the characters. They are somewhat off of what RT would write, but completely understandable given in the circumstances.
You have really put a lot of thought into this storyline. I am enjoying it a lot. I like the platonic relationship that is developing between Inu and Kagome while the romantic one betwseen Inu and Sess is really blowing my socks off.
Thanks for writing and I look forward to reading future chapters.

My GOODNESS, it's been awhile.
But despite that, your story still evenly flows without losing any of its integrity & the plot remains consistent. That really means something because I've read stories that have gone in a different direction because of a long hiatus and the plot suffers from it.
You managed to keep it flowing and the characters true to form.
Anyway, bottom line is...this story is still one of the best. :-)

That was awesome...I just love how you wrote about everybody. I love Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru. And I'm glad that everyone was fine with them together. I especially like how you made Kagome so accepting of the fact. I was never fond of Kagome because of all the silly childish things she did, but you made her very mature and accepting. I love your story and I can't wait to read more on my favorite pairing. lol
SESSHOUMARUXINUYASHA are the best!

I shall worship you forever.
Over the past four years I have left the IY fandom countless times, because I could never find a story with the right elements that appealed to me. I love Inu/Sess/Inu, but most of the time, stories have them labeled and change their characters to fit into however they want the story. Usually Inuyasha is weakened and 'uke-fied' and made Sesshomaru's bitch. And I found fics that go the opposite way that I usually read as crack because of how unreal they are.
But your series is actually very in-character, the changes they've undergone due to a shared trauma. I love your Kagome, because when I start to think she might have 'wisened' (as it often seems in the anime), she turns back into herself and it makes me laugh at the kind of comments she suddenly spouts off as she rambles. Your Inuyasha is neither 'uke' or 'seme' and neither is Sesshomaru. They are equals. I have waited years for a fic that would paint them in this light. Why must one be stronger, or more dominant than the other when they both are so obviously dominant males? There is nothing feminine about either of them (unless you count Sesshomaru's looks, but that is up for debate. And it's funny that the it's a reverse stereotype where the one who actually LOOKS girly is considered the more dominant and 'manly' of the two.)
Right now I'm jumping around waiting for your next update because these stories have me hooked from beginning to end. You keep the plot going and you don't drag on without anything inbetween. The only thing I see as odd is the interchange in Rin's speech. She sometimes calls Inuyasha, 'Inuyasha-sama' and sometimes she doesn't. It seems rather strange. Perhaps it would make more sense if she had used it consistently, and then slowly stopped, but from the beginning it was like that.
Other than that I am completely in love with this fic and will be waiting for the next chapter. Thank you for such a delightful read.

Very good chapter. I like Kagome's reaction--I hate that so many Sess/Inu fics have evil, jealous Kagome.
My only complaint is that the timeline of the events after the flood is very confusing. YOu might want to include more mentions of time passing. For example, "In the three days since the flood" etc.
