Ah, another awesome story by an excellent author. I enjoy how Inu was more mature about his feelings and had to FINALLY make a choice... sometimes I think he is as dense as he lets others believe he is.

Another beautifully written story by you. I shudder to think what Sesshomaru is going to do when he gets there, though. I'm looking forward to the next chapter.

I'm glad to see you're posting the sequel. I liked the concept of other youkai punishing Inuyasha for leaving his mate and was glad you had Kaede, Miroku and Sango dishing out their punishment in more human ways. It will be interesting to see if Sesshoumaru stops at beating Inuyasha up or if he rescinds his edicts against him. I look forward to your updates.

That was beautifully written! This plot is the way I hope to see the InuYasha series end; with the defeat of Naraku and putting Kikyou to rest by Inuyasha... I would love to think Takahashi-san herself would have a similar way of ending the series, because really we all know that Kikyou is tricking Inuyasha into going to hell with her, she after all has been reincarnated in Kagome and so he would in theory be going to hell by himself to suffer alone. So this really does make a whole lotta sense. As InuGrrrl pointed out this is like Goodbyes, but different in so many other ways in fact this plot works better as a more direct approach to what all us IY fans want to see in the end.
I loved the angst; it was just like the canon's storyline it brought me to tears. I also understood why you wrote Inuyasha's coldness toward Kikyou, whereas he is submissive and polite around her usually, under these circumstances I don’t blame the volatile attitude; for instance the fact his heart is divided, his pride and honor vs. his heart and soul or the way Kikyou was tormenting him by stalling the inevitable. Though when it came to freeing Kikyou, I thought he may have held her one last time before he released her as a way of goodbye, after all he did at one time feel something toward her. Other than that, I loved this piece, and think it’s one of your best yet.
Thank you for sharing it with us and I am looking forward to reading the sequel.
