Congratulations Cranecreator!

One of your stories has been nominated for the 2nd Quarter 2007 by the Inuyasha FanGuild in the following category:

The Forest That Bore His Name for Best Darkfic.

To qualify for this honor, your story needed to have had a chapter posted during January, February, or March 2007, been recommended by one of our members and then seconded by another. Voting by our members will take place during August 12th through August 25th, and the results will be announced on August 26th. If your story places among the top three, you can expect to hear from us again.

The Inuyasha Fanfiction Guild is a Yahoo! Group dedicated to recognizing outstanding fanfiction for Rumiko Takahashi's Inuyasha through quarterly and annual awards, and the creation and management of a fanfiction database to aid the discriminating reader in finding the best fanfiction. We have been awarding stories since 2002, and with more than 1500 members, we rate stories in twenty different categories. We hold private voting for our members, who judge stories using a critical eye. This is not a popularity contest, but one based on technical and stylistic achievement. Congratulations and good luck!

the beginning of this story shows an intensity that is unusual in fiction sites. the emotions it evokes from the reader are so charged with energy, that it makes us feel as if we are living the story along with the characters. please continue, and keep them in the characters you have developed. a good story is a thing of beauty, and takes on a life of it's own. this story is a living thing.

Excellent. Sesshomaru is a bit of a puzzlement though. He wanted to rescue InuYasha from Naraku, but now he isn't sure what he wants to do with him? I can't wait to see what happens next. **holding breath**

great chapter. although i'm waiting for the fireworks
when naraku returns and finds out that his little pet
has ran away. so, why is sesshomaru telling kagome
to hold inuyasha there like he's a prisoner. i would
have thought he would be glad to have him gone since
he was the one that let the goverment take him away. i
bet he was the one that told government to come get
him because he was a hanyou. you s hould let inuyasha
beat the crap out of him even if its just one good solid
punch to the face and he breaks sesshomaru's nose. i think
he deserves if not more.

anyway, i can't until the next chapter. will that be when
naraku returns home?

OK, at first i was a bit ehhh about a Naraku/Inu story but I decided to give it a try and I'm very glad I did. Its so intense, I'm definately drawn into this story alot. Never exepected anything that happened to happen and I love that. So many unknowns, its great. Well written, well thought out and it flows so smoothly, like a movie. I do hope there will be an update soon. I'm dying to find out what's next. Great work!!

I love this story. I thought this story was abandoned. lol. I guess I should never doubt. Question though, is Kaede still alive? And in the chapter 4 Sesshoumaru wanted to get advice from the Miko, is that Kaede? Please tell me that it isn't Kagome. She's okay and all, but she doesn't seem like someone that would be able to give sound advice to anyone, especially not Sesshoumaru.

I hope you update soon.

And if this is a Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha fic, you should transport it to the section. hehe. But I shouldn't be bossy, I just love to read it, and I glad you posted. ^___^

Eek!!! Updates for this story make me so fangirly, squealy happy. And a promise of another quick update? Things only get better if it's updated immediately. For as grateful as I am for this update, I'm now ready for the next. Poor Inuyasha...Sesshoumaru's headed to the same shrine, isn't he?

I like the personality change, even if it seems really abrupt, but tramatic situations and sudden changes in them (like escape) can cause very abrupt changes. As much as I like a vulnerable, sympathetic Inuyasha, I also like Inuyasha--the rude, brash, impulsive, rough hanyou that tells the world to go F* itself. And do I see Kagome? A cute, funny, moody, impulsive, tempermental Kagome that's not the worlds biggest 'witch with a B'? How rare is that in inucest land. And thank you for it. Kagome is a great character even if she isn't a love interest and I appreciate seeing her portrayed that way.

By the way, you made me blush mightly at the end there. Thank you for that, too. And I will be hoping for an update next week but if I don't see I will just still keep thinking of this story until I see more. Thanx for sharing,

The only thing I don't like about this story is that it's written so well that it's a punch in the gut what keeps happening to Inuyasha. Man, I'm just all sad and weepy right now, and really hoping that things turn around for inuyasha soon, because he's had so much shit go on. I thought you did a really good job of making us feel Inuyasha's pain and all. The only thing that was...different, I guess, is that in the beginning we have so much inner stuff, from Naraku to inu to sessh, and then with this last chapter there is so much more 'outside the head,' so to speak, that it felt like a big shift. Not bad, but noticeably different.

I hope to be reading more of this too....and if you're at y-gallery, I'll have to go check it there, since I can get notified!!
