Ahh and things become even more interesting. I don't think Yomi has any intentions of giving her up especially if she is carrying his child. Kurama had to have felt Lydons aura as well and now knows the truth that Yusuke's son and Kagome did not perish. I see a major confrontations coming up between the guys. As for final pairings honestly I'd go with a triangle here. Kags wouldnt leave Yomi when she is expecting his child and I think either Yomi or Yusuke would end up dying if they fought over her. Not to mention if one killed the other Kags is likely to resent the survivor. Good chapter, update soon please

Good lord, I love this story. I love it. Want to marry it. Have its children, as if there aren't enough random children running around!!!!! But aside from that, here's my two cents on the dreaded Kagome/?? pairing fiasco. I think what you've done so far is not only creative and engaging, but it is a believable turn of events. It's been four friggin' years; it only makes sense that Kagome would've moved on with Yomi and that they would've formed a family unit, thus her having his child. Makes perfect sense and honestly, feels very right. I never would've thought of Kagome/Yomi as a pairing but it works extremely well the way you've written it. They complement each other in a mature, deeply nurturing way. I don't think you should dismissively break them apart just to apease fans, BUT....here's the huge, enormous, needs-to-invest-in-weight-watcher's-BUT: I don't think you should give up on Kagome/Yusuke, either.
Here's the thing. As of now, this story has progressed at a steady pace, and natural turns and twists have gotten us where we are. Thus, it will just require more turns and twists to get Yusuke and Kagome back together. Maybe another 7-8 chapters. Make it angsty! Make it epic! This is a tournament after all, where tragic accidents can happen even to the most powerful youkai *cough, cough, hint, hint*. People have already made threatening overtures towards Kagome and the other humans, so there's potential conflict right there. Depending on what angle you want to take the drama, you could further explore Yomi's change as a character by posing him with this choice: which is more important, winning rights as Makai king, or sacrificing everything for the ones you love? Hmm...see? There's so much angst potential! Not that I want to see any harm come to our beloved characters, but if Yusuke/Kagome is going to prevail, I personally think there must be some tragedy involved to make the transition believable. Of course you are the writer, and you have a masterful handle on the epic angst as it's progressed thus far, so I know you'll creatively pull something shocking out of your tukus and make us all swoon again in the face of your amazing skillz!!
And now that my pompous diatribe is finally finito, I say good day.

Strike that, I'm not quite done.
My personal vote as it stands? Kagome/Yomi (I do love Kagome/Yusuke, but I think I'm inclined to agree that at this point, they may have passed their prime).

I think you should stick with your original plan of yus/kag. Yomi and Kagome s like seeing a middle aged man with a teenager, just wrong.

This story is so amazing. I wonder what Yusuke will do when he realizes that it was his son that did that? And what about Kurama? Is this going to be a Kag/Yomi or a Yusuke/ Kagome pairing? I think it can go both ways but I am leaning more towards her being with Yomi. I think that you give this story a great plot and you always leave it so that our toes curl. Please continue to update. I can't wait to read more of this. And by the way please do something with Keiko. I don't like her. She is a total bitch. She doesn't deserve a good man like Yusuke. Keep up the good work Love ya girl!

You have to end this with Yusuke and Kag ending up together, that's how you started the story. I would be really disappointed to see her end up with Yomi, but it is your fic, do as you will. But if Yomi and Kag end up together, then at least allow Yusuke to have a relationship with his son. Afterall, his own father abandoned him and it would break his heart to not have a relationship with him. I'm all for lots and lots of angst, but I'm still and always will be a sucker for a happy ending for all. ^_^
