I do agree with you.
There is a darker side to the world and some people find it interesting.
Just because there is a Sesshomaru/Rin section does not mean that it has to be lemony fluff.
There is a lot of speculation about the two's relationship and it is interesting to see peoples different interpretations.
You put up all the correct warnings and handled the plot with great care, which is a growing rarity.
You are a very talented writer and you shine well in this area of fiction, i personally enjoy all your stories and the darker side to them as they are quite faithful to the Inuyasha anime.
Keep up the good work.

Hey I like the story. It was just missing one thing. LEMON. You could've gone into what Sesshoumaru did.

You can take this review as a flame if you want to. I don't care but, I'm going to say my peace.....Why do you hate???? You have talent as a writer there is no denialing that...but, why write stories that you quite honestly don't like the pairing in ???? This one section is for true fans of Sesshomaru and Rin. For the people who see them as future mates. There has never been that many stories that I have read on this site that had Rin younger than eighteen. So the majority of all the Rin and Sesshomaru stories relationships were of "legal age"
I think it's pretty sad that someone with your talent has nothing else to do but write dark fics about characters they chose unworthy to be together. So, they try to make other people hate that pairing also. I see that you write a lot of Sesshomaru and Naraku pairings....why don't you go back and write those and get your reviews. Instead of messing up a perfect good section that was meant for "TRUE FANS OF THE COUPLE....RIN AND SESSHOMARU" Just because you don't see it why they are together....doesn't mean other people don't see why they are together .....

In response to the review above this (by Wow123), as the author. First, let me thank you for complimenting my writing skills. Second, thank you for such a well thought out review. You have every right to your opinion and to say your peace. As I stated in my "feedback" spot, I expected a negative response to this story. I was actually more afraid of people like the one above you reviewing.
Next, this section is about the Sesshomaru/Rin pairing. That doesn't mean it HAS to be about them falling in love and living happily ever after. I don't hate the pairing and if you'll check my recommended fics, one of them is a Sess/Rin (in fact, I'd recommend most stories I've read by theMaven). I just see it as... anti-Sesshomaru. In fact, I see "Drown" as being closer to how it would actually be in Takahashi's version of the story.
While most may have had her grow up first, I have, unfortunately, come across many where she hadn't. But that's not why I wrote this. I write darkfics. Look at the opening to this site. Darkfics are one of the listed types of fics in its description. I very rarely write happy stories. As for my one Nar/Sess fic, that was written because I was in a bad mood and I don't like Naraku, so I took it out on him by having Sesshomaru horribly violate him.
I figured someone would ask why I'm writing Sess/Rin when I don't like the pairing AS a pairing and honestly, I don't know. I haven't been able to get them out of my head, (possibly do to the fanaticism of the fans of this pairing, many of which have enjoyed my other Sess/Rin fics, and the relentless influx from this pairing... it's as popular as Sess/Kag, but unlike Sess/Kag, it's the lovers and not the haters that seem a bit... overeager about the pairing).
It is sad that someone with my talent has nothing to do but write darkfics. I don't think they're unworthy to be together, I think Sesshomaru would believe Rin was unworthy. I do NOT intend to make anyone hate this pairing! In fact, I don't hate. Period. Don't have it in me. I'm just a very dark writer to begin with. Even if I loved this pairing, this story would have been written. The proof is in my favorite pairing, Sesshomaru/Miroku, where I have written most fics, and in one of them, Sesshomaru attacks Miroku and Miroku kills him.
I write darkfics to get stories out of my head so I can concentrate on the ones I'm trying to make romantic, happy or humorous. You might like my story "Lie to Me" better for this pairing, since it is happier, Rin is an adult and it's all consensual. I wrote with a pencil and paper back in high school, but for fanfiction, that's a waste of my time, becuase I would have no one to read it if I contrinued writing that way. I write to entertain people, in many different ways. Some people are entertained by the darkest things in life and therefore, there must be an author who writes them. I am one of those authors.
