I always hate it when authors talk bad about their work (of course, even I occasionally go through bouts of absolutely hating everything I've ever written). It is discouraging, I know, to post a story and not have anyone review. The great thing about sites like these is receiving feedback from your readers -and it's unfortunate that not everyone reviews. But, you obviously like to write, and I think that you have a good voice, so KEEP WRITING! Even if no one reviews, even if people don't like it, just the simple act of writing will make you better.
I, personally, really liked this story. It was short, sweet, to the point, and, although the mating ritual is a common subject in most of these stories, I think that you added certain very original elements that made me enjoy this story. I liked the idea of the mating mark becoming a tattoo (I've never read that anywhere before, so I'm assuming it's original to you ^_^) and I really liked the description of Shinri (black ears...how cute is THAT? ^_^).
So, those are my encouraging words -for what it's worth. I hope to see more of your work in the future!

It is frustrating to see the ratio of reviews to views, but dont give up.
