Learn how to read, okay? Did you even pay ATTENTION to the first paragraph? The "out of character-ness" you are trying to point out is, in fact, explained right off the bat. Sesshomaru is indulging himself in something he rarely allows himself to because he has an ALLERGY to it. Not all allergic reactions are coughing and wheezing and seizures. This is a creative license the author has taken in response to a challenge that she was issued by me and I happen to think it's a very unique twist and gives Sesshomaru a little more depth as a character.
