If you had a death in your family, then you should not be apologizing. Take the time you need. Not everyone is able to update at a fast pace. I update quickly, but we have totally different lives. Readers kill me trying to rush the author when they have no idea what may be going on in that person's life. It's not like you're getting paid to write, so they should shut the hell up. Do your best, and good luck.

While the premise of the story is quite interesting and your writing seems good enough, the dialogue is very nearly unreadable. A single paragraph shouldn't contain dialogue from multiple characters, a new paragraph should be started whenever a different character is speaking. The thought of trying to read through a paragraph riddled with such a dizzying mess of back-to-back quotation marks can feel as daunting a task as climbing Everest. I genuinely wish to read this story, but I'm not willing to climb Everest to do it.
